Very luxurious and quiet Not suitable for people who are looking for going out and looking for attractions and many restaurants and cafes

The breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff. AC Temperature control in the room was poor. It was often too hot or too cold for comfortable sleeping. Limited shuttle services. It was a bit too far away from the Lamai centre.

Incredible staff and incredible property! Beautifully landscaped. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Bathrooms (toilet and shower) were outside which I thought would be uncomfortable but it was actually fine - just something to note. Breakfast and the restaurant menu was also really great! Sadly, while we were there, there was construction of the restaurant which disrupted the pool area. However, i can imagine it is lovely when that’s not going on. The beach isn’t very nice at the hotel - the Lamai beach down the shore becomes much nice and you can easily walk / motorbike over to some beach clubs that are much prettier than the beach at the hotel.

The property was perfect! It’s on the smaller side which we don’t usually stay at but I absolutely loved it! They pay so much attention to detail. From the room and the mini bar to the property. Nothing!

The villa with the private pool is gorgeous. The food in the restaurant is tasty. The breakfast is varied and most staff, particularly Biggie, were wonderful and welcoming. The cleaning staff are very hardworking and lovely. The cooking class is well worth a try. The spa is stellar and the massages, whilst not standard Thai prices, are standout. Decent small gym. The location is a little out of town. You can walk it but a taxi is more comfortable. The restaurant becomes a different place after breakfast service finishes. Some members of staff do not seem to be hospitality trained and many were out of their depth. There were multiple evenings where drinks were forgotten and orders were mixed up. This is all forgivable if the staff are polite, unfortunately that wasn’t always the case. We have been travelling for 4 months now staying in many hotels and of the places we’ve stayed we felt the Lamai had the most unrealised potential. The front desk and the restaurant needed more managerial presence and at present the cost doesn’t match the quality of service on offer.

The property is fantastic. The room and the staff were great. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing place. Would absolutely stay there again. Pierre the General Manger provided world class service and made my trip very memorable.

The structure-the food-the service-the staff Beach and sea …it isn’t swimmable and to walk on the beach you surely need sea shoes.

"If you care about your villa, this is the place to be." We’ve stayed at four different hotels across Koh Samui, and The Lamai Samui was easily our favorite because of the incredible villa layout. We stayed in the Private Garden Pool King Villa, and it was so stunning that we spent entire days without ever needing to leave. The Villa & Layout The design is outstanding and offers a truly unique, private feeling. The Pool: Large, wonderful, and perfect for cooling off. Outdoor Living: The patio area is very spacious with a great mix of sun and shaded daybeds. The Bathroom: A unique "mostly outdoor" concept that adds to the tropical vibe. Privacy: The entire layout feels secluded and peaceful. Hotel Amenities & Beach The Beach: Just a short walk away. If you turn left, you’ll find beautiful rock formations and crystal-clear water—perfect for a swim. Public Pool: While we loved our private pool, the public pool is also great with plenty of sunbeds and a quiet atmosphere. Cleanliness: The entire property is well-maintained and clean. Dining & Staff The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome from the start. Breakfast: It was "okay"—perhaps could use a few more options, but considering the lower guest occupancy, it was perfectly acceptable. Service: Always greeted with a smile. Things to Note Construction: There is currently some construction happening next door. We personally didn't mind it, and the noise levels were fine for us. Facilities: If you are looking for a massive resort with endless facilities, this might not be your first choice. However, for a private villa experience, it is top-tier. Summary: Fair price, amazing vibes, and the best villa we’ve stayed in. We would definitely come back!

Amazing experience, I travelled here with my wife for our honeymoon and the whole stay was perfect. What I loved the most was the staff, very polite and helpful and that made our overall stay worthy and definitely we would like to come back. During breakfasts the attention of the staff was somehow chaotic, which means sometimes we would not get attended quickly, would not get what we ordered ot would get something we didn’t order. I think additonal staff or a different arrangement in the way the tables were attended would improve the service. Besides this minor issues at breaksfast the rest was lovely and amazing.

Beautiful property! The rooms are nice and spacious Lots of mosquitoes, probably due to the personal pool. Would recommend more spraying of the rooms prior to check-ins

Beautiful property and excellent service! Would absolutely come again

Wonderful holiday resort. To far from fisherman’s village

Amazing service, layout was spectacular, the location is incredible and the food was awesome. The quality of the breakfast can improve but was amazing nonetheless.

We stayed in the King Ocean Pool Villa and it was spectacular! Loved everything about it. The beds are some of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. All of the staff are just fantastic and extremely attentive to your needs. Breakfast was great. The restaurant food was great. The cocktails were great. The whole place is just so relaxing! There's actually not much that I didn't like. The location is somewhat outside the main hustle and bustle of Lamai Beach but that's not really much of an issue if you hire a scooter or are just there to relax.

We liked the style of the property where they are keeping it very traditional. We also liked the location near but still a ways away from downtown Lamai. We didn't like the construction next door and the large wall near the pool, we didn't like the floating dock which obstructs a nice sea view, we thought the coffee was poor at breakfast and there were things like cushions that were heavily worn that need repair/replacement.

We loved the hotel in general. It is beautifully styled and clean. The rooms are very spacious and very well kept. The food that 's served is delicious and the staff is so welcoming and friendly. The hotel looks exactly like the pictures posted online!! We absolutely recommend it and we will definitely come back The only little thing we were not so happy with was the bed. It was not the most comfortable. And perhaps the fact that there was a renovation being done and part of the pool area was blocked. But we understand that this is to make the hotel even better so we are actually looking forward to the new pool accommodations!

The villa / room was cleaned every day very accurately. In the evening there was an additional service for closing the curtains, lighting up candles and spraying mosquito repellents. The design of the villa, which is basically a breeding ground for mosquitoes despite the efforts of the staff (mosquito spray and so on) The constant construction works (but great that the resort renovates the facilities). Hardly any beach left as the resort is built quite far out.

Not enough space next to the swimming pool. The beach wasn't nice at all and I hit my leg at some underwater Beton debris. Food in the restaurant was okay but not up to standing. Spa overpriced. So many mosquitos that it was impossible to enjoy our room next to the swimming pool.

Perfect room and location A/C in the main room was a little weak
