A very nice stay in a historical family mansion in the midst of Loire, decorated with beautiful antiques and carries on its spirit from at least a hundred years ago. You wake up to the sound of birds singing, to a very beautiful landscape and garden, and a nice french breakfast. The room was very clean, and the housekeeper is a very attentive and nice lady.

Large room with comfy bed, beautiful view, great swimming pool and garden. Breakfast is served in a very nice setting. Very good location for visiting the castles.

Great location and part of a delightful Manor House. Breakfast was delicious Staff do not speak a word of English. The night door was difficult to open - just what you want at 2am!

A beautiful setting, lovely pool and 7 hectares of private grounds on the banks of the Cher river, the hosts were welcoming and the incredibly elegant breakfast was excellent. The Manoir is a lovely house and grounds. The room was good, lots of sockets so easy to plug in laptops and phone chargers as well as our cold box. Our room faced the main gates and got a lot of noise from the road, it would have been nice to have easier access to a kettle and tea and coffee in the room.

lovely spacious room, very convenient for attractions in the Loire area around Tours. Beautiful grounds and lovely house Directions from Booking.com weren’t clear on where the entrance was. Breakfast was basic French (croissant, bread, jam, etc)

Fabulous property, pool and grounds. quite beautiful the breakfast was a little disappointing, one day just pan au chocolate and cake, so as i don't like cake or chocolate i just had yoghurt

lovely property! beautiful gardens to have a leisurely stroll along with a swimming pool. Our room was the family suite with one large confortable bed and two smallish sofa beds in the sitting room. Lovely furnishings and good wifi most of the time. Useful small fridge downstairs, but nothing in the room. No TV but not a problem for us. missing a closet to hang clothes, but the housekeeper told me they are working on it. Also a wierd old fashioned bath tub with no plug and a shower handle that let water go all over the bathroom floor if you are not careful. If you have mobility problems...you might have a hard time getting out of the tub.

The swimming pool and gardens The entrance from the road is very narrow.

The accommodation is in a very nice location. The surrounding towns and attractions can be reached quickly. The breakfast was sensational, the room was very nice. The garden and swimming pool are wonderful. The owner is very kind. Unfortunately, in the room was not fridge . The wifi is very low.

Delightful private manor house in its own gorgeous grounds and wonderful swimming pool. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good in a beautiful collective dining room...all around the table ! It was hot so the room could have done with a fridge. Also towels are not provided for the pool and are not changed. So if you have your own cold box, towels and don't mind being left on your own...this is the perfect place for a quiet few days near the Chateaux of the Loire Valley !

A very beautiful and charming place to stay when visiting the Loire valley. The manor house is extremely charming, well located and the grounds - an extremely beautiful, large park - are very extensive and interesting to walk around. The room we stayed in was fantastic, classy and just beautiful. The location is very good for visiting the various sites and close to the main attractions/castles in the Loire valley area. We liked the breakfast and the classy breakfast room, as well as having access to the grounds, terrace and pool. The staff was very friendly, as well as the owner who introduced herself to us. We can highly recommend this place! Might be good to have a fan in the room as it gets hot during the night.

Serene, picturesque and charming are some of the words that come to mind when I think of the Manoir de Clairbois. The room was spacious and extremely clean, and beautifully decorated in a way that fit the château vibe. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast delightful. I loved the dining room and how beautifully the table was prepared every morning. I also enjoyed strolling the grounds, which have a creek and little foot bridges. The house is backed up to a charming small town, and a 15 minute drive to Tours, plus a 20-30 minute drive to all of the castles/chateaus. I hope to come back and explore all of the other castles we didn’t get to see (there are so many!) and we’ll definitely be staying here again! Finding the location was a little confusing, because if you copy the location shown in the Booking.com listing, it takes you to the wrong place. Typing the name of the B&B in Google or Apple Maps actually does take you to the right location, though.

location access to bedroom via steep spiral staircase

Room was big and clean, the bed was comfortable, the grounds are gorgeous, The manager was friendly. Wifi was mostly non existent. The breakfast was typically french with croissants, bread , jam, yogurt, and we would have also liked some proteins such as cheese and cold cuts. The owners speak perfect English but do not associate with the guests, nor do they even acknowledge the presence of the guests, hence offer no help to the guests. The manager speaks only french. There is no fridge for the use of clients.
