Lysithea Hotel

- fairly quiet - if you’re looking for somewhere to chill it then this is great - easy transport links outside hotel - quite far away from things but buses come regularly - comfy beds (but not doubles like they suggest online as it’s two singles put together) - staff available for drinks and a good choice - rooms were not cleaned really - just swept inside. Due to birds they should clean the balconies more often. Pool towels were not changed regularly (bathroom ones were every 3 days) and toilet paper was not refilled - food choices very limited which meant you had to order in or do big food shops - which isn’t great when it’s a hotel and not apartments with a kitchen or area for preparation

Wifi is very poor, most of the times doesn’t work at all.

Nice pool and rooms

I've been staying in this hotel with my girlfriend for 4 years in a row and, for us, it's a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The hotel is pretty basic, but offers everything you need for a relaxing break. The room is spacious and cleaned daily (unless you ask not to be disturbed), bed is comfortable and each room has a spacious balcony to enjoy breakfast or the lovely sea breeze in the evening. In addition, each room has a little fridge and a telly (which we never watched!) The hotel features two swimming pools, one is large and a little shallow one for little kids. Just outside the hotel, across the road, there is a lovely sandy beach with a massive shallow area, so it is very safe for families with little children or those who aren't confident swimmers. The hotel is located some distance from the city centre, however there is a bus stop just outside of the hotel (I must admit, I always rent a car and have never used the bus service). Each room is equipped with a kettle with is great but the coffee cups are far too small to enjoy a proper cuppa... All previous years I could always get bigger mugs from the canteen area, but this year they said no...

No adapters for electric sockets. But its not a problem, by the way.

Sometimes during the evening internet was very slow, l was losing connection all the time

Hotel sent me instruction on the arrival morning, everything was as expected. They gave me a room far from the road, 2nd flore. hotel has really wide bed, not 2 brought together, good mattress, good towel. important for me - good curtains, to protect from the morning sun.

The beach, pool, showers, and furniture was nice. I liked having a desk in my room to work with. The service at the hotel kitchen was also excellent. Staff could speak greek, english, or russian. Even though there was wifi, it was extremely slow. I could not perform zoom calls. Additionally, there was no pamphlet for bus schedules, and I had to look around for services such as money exchange, or taxi services. Additionally, there was no phone sim card purchasing ability near the hotel. I cam via the land border crossing, so I didn't have access to a vodophone or orange sim provider there or near the hotel.

This property has excellent location, great comfy bed, tidy and clean bathroom The WiFi is a disaster, most of the time down. also the TV remote doesn’t have batteries, so I was stuck with CNN all night .

The location, cleanliness, the accomodations

Remote location, away from troubles with the beach and a minimarket next to it. As a tip, dont go to local restaurants. They are rip offs. Try delivery. It is best for value. Rooms and facilities could be a bit cleaner.

The internet doesn't work well. If you need to work, you can't stay there.

visited off season pool to cold ti use, coffee shop limited hours no breakfast

Stayed two nights in February (off-season), so services were limited. Check-in was easy - keys in a lockbox, code sent in advance. The room was a bit tired but clean. Parking was convenient. Only one of the two elevators was working. There’s a cafeteria on site, and the door clearly showed “Open.” However, when I walked in, a staff member rather rudely told me I wasn’t allowed to be there. Not the best experience especially after I read praises about how pleasant staff workers were.

Location, clean, good value for money

Beautifully located right next to the beach, it’s a very calm hotel with great sea views. The rooms are comfortable with nice balconies and a plus - there’s cats! We rented a car so it was easy to get from Larnaca but it might be challenging without one as it’s far from the center. Off-season it also feels a bit deserted but lets you rest calmly.

Close to the bus stop, close to the beach. They let me check in earlier. Felt unsafe to be in the room on the ground floor. The door locks automatically from the outside, but you can’t lock it from inside additionally. Far from restaurants and stores, no meals available at the hotel, except for frozen pizza and Greek salad. The pool shower is far from the pool. Maids didn’t clean my floors during the entire stay, just took out the trash from the bin, and gave me new sheets and towels on day 3. Took the towel from the floor that’s meant for feet, and put it over the face towel I had over the shower window… Maids didn’t want to refill my coffee packets (you get 2-3), when I asked for more on day 3. Internet was bad most of the stay, it took a long time for web pages to load.
