This hotel was beautiful and exceeded our expectations! We loved the unique feel of the hotel and the seamless combination of history and new art. Breakfast was plentiful and staff was very helpful! The hotel was in a perfect location to everything and the valet parking made it very easy for us with a rental car. Nothing!

Beautiful property & great walking distance in the historical part of the city. Excellent breakfast! The restoration of the property is very well done. Driving to location is very difficult due to satellite connection. An 8 min drive from another location in the city turned into 1 hour due to closed streets, traffic, etc. Partner stayed in car & I got out & walked to hotel thru multiple reroutes on Apple Maps. Google Maps didn’t work at all. Upon getting to the hotel, I asked for help. If one of the valets could help with getting the car to their hotel (which we pre paid for this service) & Francesca said “no, we don’t do that” She spoke excellent English & I explained, we had to back up more than 1/2 a mi. on narrow shut down street & needed assistance. She replied again “no, not our responsibility, you must get it here yourself & said they had no staff for this”. There was a Valet Man standing right there so, I asked if he could help. She said no again & that he was busy. He was standing there for 10 mins while all of this went on. Then, he started “loud talking w/ red face of anger & complaining in Italian. “ I told them if I couldn’t get help, I need to cancel the reservation since I couldn’t get there & couldn’t get help. He did wind up walking with me for 2 blocks to the car & help after 30 minutes of almost a yelling tone in the voices of her & valet. I was respectful to them (they have hard jobs) in other words, I was not the “rude American” BUT, the rest of the stay & staff was fabulous & had a good experience!

Pollicastro is a unique and beautiful boutique hotel. From the moment you walk in you are immersed in the artistry and design of this space. Every detail was created with love. The art could be in a museum but is instead here for us to enjoy. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was immaculately clean. Staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast offerings were very good and staff attentive and helpful. Location was perfect for exploring Lecce.

Stunning property with amazing staff

The staff were great and the property is super clean. I love the historical stone work that they have as well. No issues to be honest. I think the only thing I would recommend is that only room one has the cool whirlpool that you see in the pictures. It can be confusing when you are looking at everything.

Really nice large split level family room. Lots of space. Good location in old town Lecce.

A beautifully restored palace in a great location

Breakfast was fabulous! The staff could not have been more helpful and the location of the hotel was perfect.

Location and Facilities Difficult access by car for the 1st time.

Absolute top. Beautifully renovated palazzo in old town centre. Five star approach to the guest, by reception staff, breakfast staff, valet parking staff. Rooms, bathroom , all was really good! Because it is inside the old town narrow streets, it was really , really hard to find, even when the hotel had given previous location instructions. Navigation systems are not reliable in these streets. Suggestion to offer a valet pick up service at the edge of the old town ..

One of the loveliest hotels we have stayed at (and we have stayed in quite a few very nice ones across the world). Every corner and piece of furniture and fitting, was elegantly and artistically designed. Room was large and the large complimentary bottle of drinking water provided each day was very much appreciated. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much. Having walked through the old town of Lecce so many times, we did not see a nicer hotel. If we ever return to Lecce, there would be no other choice for us to stay at other than this one. We wouldn't miss the chance to stay there again. The bathroom was exquisitely designed but the shower area needed a door. The floor next to the shower area got very wet after each shower. The hair conditioner dispenser was not working properly throughout our 5 nights stay. We asked for it to be fixed but it was not done. If we needed a change of towels, we were instructed to throw the towels on the floor, which did not seem like the right thing to do. A basket for used towels that needed to be changed would have been nice. The bed was larger than the mattress provided, leaving an exposed ledge on one side of the bed, which created an obstacle when getting onto the mattress.

This hotel is gorgeous! The decor throughout is very classy and the setting is the historic stone along with updated plaster. The lobby area had a bar along with a lovely lounge to sit in and an eating area for the breakfast. The room was very spacious and extra table/counter space to use our laptops, look at maps, and enjoy our coffee in the room. The bathroom was large and had a very good amount of space for our toiletries. Our room had two balconies--the balconies were small but cute and had an excellent view of the beautiful street. The rooftop garden was so amazingly beautiful--we we enjoyed that space several times to have our coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. The location is excellent--from the hotel you can easily walk the whole of Lecce's old city and tourist sites. There is valet parking offered or park a short distance away outside the residential use zone. All the staff spoke excellent English and were very willing to help. The breakfast was very good with pastry and cheese options. The only thing that would have improved our experience would have been cooked-to-order food such as eggs included but this hotel did not include a restaurant so we didn't expect cooked breakfast.
