Palazzo Maresgallo

The hours at the terrace bar were a bit confusing. They mentioned it was open for drinks up there beginning at 5pm, but when we went up at 6:30pm to have a drink we were not able to find any staff.

Simply an exquisite propertry. Perfect location in the old town. Spectacular furnishings throughout. Lovely outdoor rooftop. Wonderful breakfast with fresh food. Very helpful staff. I give it my highest recommendation. Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The only comment that I have is that if you are driving your own (or rental) car there, it is a bit difficult to find the hotel the first time you go. GPS is not accurate is the old town. However, this is a tech issue, definitely not the hotel's problem.

Every single detail of this hotel is exceptional, it was a wonderful balance of luxury and comfort. I cannot say enough about the kindness of the owner and the staff, they really take hospitality to the next level. The spaces were stunning, filled with art and beautiful touches. There were places indoors and out to relax and soak up the Italian way of life. The location was the perfect place for exploring beautiful Lecce on foot. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious way to start the day. It was a transporting experience in hospitality and staying there was an absolute privilege. I would not change a thing.

The interior design was exceptional & the private spa was a lovely touch, the staff were very attentitive and hospitable, even going as far as to made my girlfriend a cake for her birthday! That we could only stay for one day! That we couldn’t take the furniture with us :’)

Palazzo Maresgallo embodies the very essence of Lecce! Each and every thoughtful detail has been lovingly curated, and it shows. While the quality shines, there is nothing pretentious about this beautiful hotel. It truly feels like home, particularly if your home is a former Italian palace…wink. I would also add that photos do not (and perhaps cannot) do adequate justice to the layers and quality of finishes, linens, and original art. I have had the privilege of staying at some amazing hotels, and Palazzo Maresgallo now rates chief among them. If a room with a terrace is available, it is worth the splurge. I will return to Lecce for the sole purpose of staying again at Palazzo Maresgallo. What an unforgettable place!!
