Palazzo Charlie

We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Charlie in Lecce. It is a beautiful property in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance of everything the historic center has to offer. The rooms are pristine, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. We had our own private balcony which was lovely Breakfast each morning was a real highlight. We started with delicious muesli, followed by eggs cooked any way you like. Charlie picked up fresh bread and local cheeses every morning, served with a wonderful selection of delicious preserves. Charlie and Manon were exceptional hosts who made everyone feel so welcome and at home. The rooftop terrace is spectacular and the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. A thoughtful touch was that beach towels were provided, making our beach days so much easier. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Charlie. It was the perfect base for exploring Lecce and the Salento region Just a small note, the Wi Fi could be inconsistent at times, and check in and check out times are enforced quite strictly. As long as you are respectful of their schedule, everything is perfect.

Palazzo Charlie is in the highest tier of accommodations and sets the standard by which other hotels, inns, and bed-and-breakfasts should be judged. Charlie and Manu have an extraordinary attention to detail, yet everything feels effortless. They are warm, easy-going, interesting, and genuinely welcoming. It is hard to think of them simply as hosts; by the end of my stay they felt more like friends. The accommodations are beautiful, exceptionally comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail has been considered. Breakfast each morning was outstanding—first-class in quality and presentation, yet never pretentious. Lecce may have many palazzi, but none that I experienced felt as comfortable, modern, and convenient as this one. I spent a week here and would happily stay again. Palazzo Charlie was one of the highlights of my time in Puglia. That I had to depart.

We had an amazing stay at Palazzo Charlie in Lecce. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome from the first moment. The breakfast was excellent every morning with fresh and delicious products. The rooms were more than excellent — beautifully designed, very clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lecce.

Spacious, clean

Such a wonderful stay. The room was amazing, completely renovated with a large bathroom. The view to the street was perfect and everything was walkable. They went above and beyond to welcome us, answer questions, and recommend places to visit. Find parking and bringing luggage to the B&B.

The location was in the heart of the old town, walkable to everything. The suite was impeccable! Renovated to perfection and exceptionally clean! Nothing!

Perfection. That is the only way to describe Palazzo Charlie… from amazing breakfast served every morning by the hosts to company of the hosts and other travelers during the feast to a luxurious accommodation. Breakfast alone has to be mentioned here as it is a four course meal: secret recipe (best tasting) oatmeal, eggs any style, great variety of fresh breads, cheeses and condiments including fine olive oil…. just yum in every bite. The location of Palazzo Charlie is superb - close to all the historical sites, shops and restaurants. Do yourself a favor and do not book any other place but Palazzo Charlie. You will be talking about this luxurious place long after you return from your vacation. Charlie and Manon - thank you for an amazing stay. We are already planning our return to Puglia and we would not consider staying any place else but Palazzo Charlie.

Fabulous property in a perfect location to explore Lecce. Manon/Charlie could not be more helpful.

The property is beautiful, extremely clean and tidy and the hosts were lovely. Great recommendations for restaurants and other things to do around Lecce. Exceptional breakfast as well lovingly prepared by hosts Manon and Charlie. Nothing!

Great location along one of the main streets in the town. Also, the property was only a short walk to the bus and train station. Suite was spacious and clean. Perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The hosts were very genuine and wanted to ensure the stay was comfortable. When it was time to check out they arranged transportation to the airport which I greatly appreciated. A little noisy at times from neighbors in the early morning. Hard to control outside noise.

This is a great location in the old city of Lecce. Easy walk to great cafes & restaurants.

Manon and Charlie were fantastic hosts! They provide a personal connection that made you feel so welcome and at home, a refreshing change on a vacation where social interaction with staff at hotels and restaurants is so transient. Interesting conversation with these sophisticated hosts at breakfast made for a memorable experience. The lovely breakfast was personally prepared and presented by the hosts. The newly renovated Palazzo and sunny room was huge and bright with three large windows, good A/C, modern bathroom, large shower, good lighting at nighttime and shutters that block the early morning sun to allow you to sleep in. Overall it was a wonderful experience that elevated our stay in Lecce to one of the highlights of our trip to Puglia. Not a thing!

Amazing welcome, hospitality and location!

The accommodation gorgeous. We stayed in the Deluxe King Suite. Location in the historic centre, easy accessibility to all the sites, restaurants and shopping. Would highly recommend

A good value for the location and the size of the room. Powerful hairdryer. Lovely balcony overlooking the bustling Lecce thoroughfare. A message from the host indicated we would be able to drop off luggage between 11-12 a.m. so we got an early train. We arrived at the time stated, waited outside for 45 minutes, calling, ringing the bell and sending messages. To no avail. We wound up having to pay 30 euros to store our bags several blocks away until we were able to check in, which did detract from the value of the stay and changed the trajectory of our only day in Lecce a bit. Also: flat, uncomfortable pillows, and no TV in the large living area. I would also suggest adding hair conditioner in the bathroom.

Palazzo Charlie was very easy to find, right in the heart of the old town with a good range of restaurants on its doorstep and the cathedral just a short walk away. Despite its central location, it was a quiet, oasis of calm from the moment you stepped through the doors into the cool foyer. Our suite was huge with a wonderful, stylish lounge - great for relaxing in after a day of sightseeing - a balcony, a small but very well-appointed bathroom and a comfortable bedroom. We also had access to a large rooftop terrace with seating and a communal kitchen/dining area. Sadly, we only ate breakfast there on one day because of an early start on our second but it was definitely the best of the holiday! A gastronomic delight with three courses that included scrambled egg, meat and local cheeses and jams, all delicious. Manon and her son were perfect hosts and helped with restaurant recommendations and an early morning cab booking. All in all, a great stay and not long enough! Nothing. There are some interior steps but the rooms are easily accessible.
