The whole experience. We had brought our 11 year old granddaughter for the first day of the Test at Headingley. The reception staff were welcoming, friendly & professional. Bar & restaurant area is so clean & fresh yet has a wonderful ambience in the evening, drinks were a reasonable price for a hotel too. Lovely lighting adorned to the trees outside. Right next to a canal & the armouries. Breakfast was included in price with a fantastic selection which was kept full throughout breakfast service & tables were swiftly cleared & cleaned to allow flow of guests. The family room was well planned & our granddaughter absolutely loved the pullout bed which had been made up ready for arrival. Importantly there was 3 of everything,cups, spoons, towels- well done housekeeping ! Check in & check out were a quick & smooth procedure. Although there were some sealed gluten free cereal packs available I couldn't see gf bread/pastry offerings or a separate toaster in a protected area. I would suggest you introduce a dedicated area for gluten free/coeliac guests then we can confidently bring our older grandaughter & young grandson for a stay & they won't miss out. Not the hotel's fault but do double check the transport options for Headingley, the bus was a nightmare due to road closures, drivers giving misinformation. We arrived at Headingley after the first ball having left the hotel in plenty of time.

The staff are friendly and the hotel is in a great location next to the canal. The room overall was good but there were a few bumps and marks on the walls and floor. The room could do with a freshen up.
