basic breakfast, some members of the staff were rude

La cama cómoda. El baño funcional. Aire acondicionado. Un duvet extra por si el AC era mucho. The pillows can be better, they were so hard and too big for me to sleep comfortably. The reception staff is the worst I have come across. Absolutely no tact to talk to the clients, rude, like they have had enough of working with people. Rude rude rude. First of all, they charge you in soles, so even if you book in USD when you get to pay you will be charged a higher exchange rate so you end up paying more, careful here. The moment I realized this and questioned this, the lady at the front desk changed her attitude towards me and became defensive. It doesn't include breakfast and for the price there are better options with breakfast. They didn't allow my friend to help me with my things in my room but she yelled at me as we were planning something. There was no need. The only person I have something good to say was the bellboy, polite, kind, helpful. The other girls, seriously should consider other areas rather than tourism. I myself work in this business and I can totally say they made it very uncomfortable to even want to go down. The second day I came down hoping for a better treatment and found the same rude vibe. I told them in a good mood that I wasn't going to come back for the night and if I should keep or leave the keys, since I arrived the day before I didn't need the room cleaned, and the lady basically with an unnecessary confrontational behavior told me that NO! YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE KEY! I told her ok, wow chill, it was only a question, man. And then proceeded to tell me that the rooms get clean leaving one day in between, and I said ok but I don't feel comfortable having people entering my room because the safe box didn't work and then she told me as if I should have known, YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR THE KEYS HERE! I didn't like this way of treatment. They should have told me about this when I arrived or at least have a note near the safe box. I just thought the box didn't work at all. I told her ok no problem, do as you like. And I left. When I came back they didn't even enter the room to clean it.

Never take the second floor; the room was close to the kitchen or something. They woke me up at 5 a.m. with a lot of noise. I stayed there on other occasions, but this one looked bad, and the other guys at the front desk during my other stays were nice, but now they have new ones.

Room size. breakfast. Beds were hard! Lousy wifi in 701. Has to use mobile data, and buy extra! No late checkout. No visitors!

Since check in got hard time with not written policies read to me like a third grade school boy, "visitors not allowed in the room", only in the lobby, a 20' by 12' area where everyone had to listen other people talking. I went Lima for my brother's funeral, and it was very disgusting discuss some private topics in front of front desk staff or other guests. At checking out also a ridiculous charge of $8.00 for a dime size coffee spot in one of the towels, probably old, because "we don't have a washer in situ and have to send linen to a laundromat service" They don't deserve a 3 stars rating... will not recommend booking!

Large rooms It’s unfortunate to write this review because Allpa used to be our preferred place to stay in Lima. Our most recent visit was different. From check in, there were questionable practices happening regarding being incorrectly charged the VAT sales tax since we are not Peruvian residents, and changing the percentage. But the worst experience was upon check out. I was told I could not start check out until my husband was out of the room. I told the receptionist that he was just outside the room waiting for the elevator with our suitcases. I was still told no, and to wait. Once he was no longer near the room, and in the lobby, the staff told us that there was damage done to the room and showed us a photo of a tv remote broken into pieces. They blamed our toddler saying that he must of done it when we were in the bathroom. We explained that we did not do that, nor did we even use the tv during our short one-night sleep. Our toddler was never not under our supervision. They insisted and made us pay 50 soles to replace it. We will not be staying in Allpa again, and we do not recommend it to anyone.

The room is very spacious. The breakfast is good. The mattresss was a little uncomfortable.

The location The matress was hard and uncomfortable and the person serving breakfast wasn’t nice or friendly. She didn’t even greet us or explain us how the breakfast works.

The only thing I like was the location, though would suggest booking closer to the shoreline if you can. We decided to stay here on our last leg of a beautiful holiday thinking that it would be a much more comfortable option being a “suite”. Severely disappointed with both the customer service and the facilities. On our second day we had absolutely NO electricity for 10 hours, hot showers and couldn’t even use the spa bath. When we tried to check out, the girl at the front counter tried to extort us for money using the towels. After reading reviews from other customers, it seems towels extortion is a scam they run often. Don’t stay here, they were rude and did nothing to assist us with having no electricity.

Staff were lovely. We were able to check in quite late after our flight. Easy walking in the Miraflores area. Lots of extra blankets. The room had a musty smell and room service would pack up the doona we had out so we had to get it out from the cupboard again haha
