Rossio Boutique Hotel

Very close to Rossio Square -right downtown. Staff were super friendly and very clean. There are some unhoused individuals in the area and you have to walk about 100 m to get a taxi. We had to leave at 3am so it felt unsafe. We were a group of five, but I wouldn’t do alone in the dark.

I loved the room and how comfortable the space in the hotel was. Staff was very friendly as well! I wish they had a gym! and the area surrounding the hotel has some sketchy personalities. I didn't feel 100% safe walking at night.. however, it wasn't terrible and the location is truly great. Very close to stores, plazas, boulevard, really great.

The reason I didn’t give 10 is because we have to walk out little bit to get Uber, some time with suitcase is not very convenient, because car driver in the street of the hotel located, but I will still highly recommend this hotel so clean stuff are extremely friendly.

Location was great, a little hidden to the side, which made it a little sketchy late at night, but very central and walking distance to a lot of sites, restaurants and the ocean. The room itself was a good size, clean and simple. They offered breakfast, but we passed. It was a last minute booking, so price was good considering timing and location. What sank it for us was the smell of the bathroom. Perhaps it was the toilet or shower drain, but smelled horrible, like raw sewage. We tried not to use the bathroom. It was the last room so we couldn't change, plus they may all be like that.

The location was in the center of everything. We arrived very early (6:00 AM) on a Saturday morning. The Uber driver dropped us off at Rossio Square - as the street is a pedestrian only road. We walked about 100 meters to the hotel. I chatted with the hotel weeks earlier and knew that had a 24 hour reception desk and would watch our bags until our room was ready. Diogo was at the desk and spoke English very well. He was expecting us and let us know that the previous night was at capacity and we would be able to check-in as soon as our room was cleaned. He offered to watch our bags and suggested that we have a seat in the lounge area to get situated and get out bearings for the location. We sat for 1/2 hour and then decided to grab some coffee. We met Miguel as we were heading out and he gave us a suggestion for a nearby coffee shop. His recommendation as excellent. We went to the same shop the next two mornings as well. By 9:00 am the shops along the road were all opened and the square was busy. The location is very close to dozens of restaurants and shops and attractions. It couldn't have been more centrally located to what we had planned. The only negative thing I can think of was that breakfast was server later than we were used to. Our plans had us up and out of the hotel very early each morning. However, if we didn't have such early plans, we probably would have eaten breakfast at the hotel. I think they served breakfast starting at 7:30. That is a very reasonable time but just didn't work for our itinerary. Even at that, it is hardly a complaint about the hotel.

Central location, comfortable bed, clean, nice bathroom and towels.

The room was spacious. We had 3 in a room and this was the most spacious room on our trip. Window looked out to a wall. Location was not the best. Seemed to be many immigrants that gather and hang out near the property on benches and the ground in the area. Just a half a block away the area seems to improve. Also the entrance is on a pedestrian walkway, so uber has to drop you off a half a block away.

The location is so run down I was afraid to get out of my car to even go to reception. Many not local people just hanging around and looking very suspicious. Sitting on the side of the road with bags and clothes.

location was 5 out 5..room was 3.75 maybe 4 out of 5 stars..room cleanliness 4.5 out 5 stars I didnt like the loft set up of the room.. it made it difficult to carry me and my wife bags up and down the stairs..and the tv was not a smart tv...so we could not cast netflix on the tv so we had nothing to watch while we were in the room.

Location is on the street that not allowed cars to get to hotel to pick up. We have to go to the other street to wait for Uber, not too far but not convenient if you have heavy luggage.

It was aesthetically pleasing and the employees were absolutely amazing There were a lot of things broken/loose - hook on the back of the door, gaps in the wood planks on the floor. The steps were at different heights. The property is very pretty but lacks functionality - no where to put the hand soap

The room itself is nice and clean. Terrible experience, honestly. While the hotel is near Rossio Square, the specific street it’s on felt very unsafe and uncomfortable. There were many homeless people and suspicious groups gathered around, to the point where none of us felt safe walking alone. On top of that, we chose this hotel specifically because it advertised having parking. In reality, we had to pay an extra 30 Euro per day for a public parking garage. This was misleading and very frustrating. A very disappointing stay—I wouldn't recommend it.
