no coffee machine in the room

The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient. Unfortunately, on our last night we returned around 10 PM and found a live cockroach on the bathroom wall while showering (photo attached). We didn’t report it to the front desk that night because the only remedy would have been a room change — not practical at that hour when we were checking out early the next morning. Instead, I reported it in writing with the photo. Management’s response blamed us for not requesting a midnight room change, with no apology gesture of any kind. The staff deserve 5 stars; the hygiene issue and the way the complaint was handled do not.

Not very clean

Super helpful staff!

Expensive for what you got.

Room was clean. Staff was nice. Breakfast was great. Good value for money. Location is good (quiet, but relatively central). Rooms are rather small, but we knew this. A coat hanger on the wall near the entrance would have helped us a lot.

This Ibis location, which is in between the bustling Avenida Libertade and the trendy Principe Real, was serviceable but not great. This opinion is based on the actual room itself, which was a bit cramped with a bed that was uncomfortably hard, especially for side-sleepers like me and my spouse. In short, the room served us as place to sleep and shower, but did not inspire us to spend any more time that necesssary in it. The lobby was pleasant with a lounge area, and a full service restaurant and bar. The staff was great and helpful. The main upside for this Ibis was the location, which allowed us to walk the Libertade into the center of town, and also easily get to the restaurants and nightlife of the Principe Real without heavy walking effort. The metro was about a 10 minute walk, and there were markets and restaurants within 5 minutes. This made this Ibis location convenient, but a mixxed bag due to the lack of the room's comfort level. I would recommend this for the location and only of you not intend to spend a lot of time in the room. Beds, beds, beds, Not sure what brand of mattress they use, but it felt more like a futon than a true bed. The lighting in the room did not make a lot of sense, with very harsh bright lighting above the bedside nightstands, and low levels of lighting elsewhere where it was needed, e.g., the "closet" which was a strange mini-cubicle in the corner of the room. It seems this Ibis is following in the footsteps of most sub-par American hotels (looking at you Holiday inn, Marriott) where the Ikea-like cheapness of the room leaves a lot to be desired.

The central location was very convenient The parking garage was not open and so we had to pay for off street parking. An extra cost that was not expected.

Spacious, clean and comfortable Breakfast could be a bit better but it’s still good

The front desk staff were delightful! Good breakfast!

Great room. Comfortable and clean! Location… but an easy walk to the town center.

This is the best Ibis in Lisbon. Their staff are the best as they are very responsive to mails compared to the other Ibis hotels in Lisbon. I am so glad that I chose this one as their staff really helped me with the local stuff and even my local tour booking.

Spacious room. Very clean. Good soundproofing. Nice location except the little hilly walk. 1. The heater did not work: I informed the reception and they said they would send someone. NO ONE came. I had to wear layers to stay warm. Too tired to move. 2. The room was empty, absolutely NOTHING in terms of amenities. I understood the toothbrush, but for that price and not even a tea or coffee pack, or a welcome bottle of water inside the room, made me feel ripped off bcos with that rate I could’ve gone to another hotel nearby and they would provide full. I’m surprised that in this day and age, with the crazy global economy and fierce competition, the iBis chain in Europe remains quite stingy. I’ve stayed with iBis since more than 2 decades, and even iBis in Vietnam has a lower rate per night but much better room equipment than this. Due to these 2 reasons I’m not coming back.

Pillows are very hard and uncomfortable. Charging extra for hotel parking.

Clean room 1. Coming back from the day trip, there was no hot water + weak water pressure for showering, due to the site work. Staff just asked us to wait (not allowed to change to another hotel nearby). We were tired and finally slept without taking a bath the whole night. 2. Location: the hotel is situated up on the hill, not suitable for going up and down with lots of luggage!

The room is fairly spacious, and the location is convenient, being close to two metro stations—Rato and Marquês de Pombal. However, the access road is uphill, which may feel a bit tiring, especially when carrying luggage. the heating system works inconsistently. An electric kettle was not provided in the room, which made it inconvenient for us to prepare meals such as rice and instant noodles
