SANA Capitol Hotel

Very convenient location, close and easy access to public transit. 24hr transit pass for only 10 euro ! Best part, the staff… all amazing. Including Pedro, Carolina and Joy. Ask them for close by “authentic” restaurant recommendations ! I would also like to mention how great the restaurant staff was , breakfast was amazing, unfortunately I didn’t catch their names.

Close to literally anything. The breakfast is superb. Good selection. Front desk staff was okay. Two things only: 1. The uphill and downhill paths leading to the hotel, and 2. The Housekeeping department never replenished my tea and coffee (I had to ask for it every day).

Positives * Excellent location with convenient access to public transportation and many of Lisbon’s attractions. * Staff were generally helpful and contributed to a comfortable stay. * The hotel offers many qualities that make for an enjoyable guest experience. * I would particularly like to recognize David for his professionalism and helpful attitude. He listened carefully to concerns, remained calm and respectful, and made me feel heard. Rather than offering excuses, he focused on understanding the concerns and ensuring they were acknowledged. His welcoming, approachable, and service-oriented manner reflected the level of hospitality guests hope to experience. Employees like David make a positive impression and contribute meaningfully to the overall guest experience. * Overall, I enjoyed my stay and appreciate the many positive aspects of the hotel. Needs Improvement Breakfast Service Readiness * Breakfast is advertised as opening at 7:00 a.m., but on multiple occasions the breakfast area did not appear fully prepared when service began. * On two mornings at 7:00 a.m., eggs were unavailable, and on another morning at 9:00 a.m., eggs were still unavailable. * Ensuring all advertised breakfast items are available at opening and replenished consistently throughout service would better align with guest expectations. Breakfast Area Congestion * The coffee station created a significant bottleneck. At one point, a line of approximately six guests waiting for coffee blocked access to the hot food area as well as the fruit and yogurt stations. * The placement of utensils and serving items required guests to move back and forth between stations, contributing to congestion during busy periods. * Consider adding a second coffee machine and reviewing the breakfast layout to improve traffic flow and guest convenience. Guest Communication Regarding Bottled Water * It was not explained during check-in that the bottled water initially provided in the room was complimentary but would not be replenished during the stay. * When I later inquired about obtaining additional water, I left the interaction uncertain about the policy. * Clear communication during check-in or written information in the room would help prevent confusion. Guest Service Communication * When explaining policies, staff may benefit from first acknowledging the guest’s concern before describing the policy itself. This helps guests feel informed, understood, and supported while still communicating the policy clearly. Front Desk Presentation * During one interaction, a staff member repeatedly cracked their knuckles while speaking with guests. * While this may simply be a personal habit, some guests may perceive it as nervousness, impatience, or irritation.

Location accessible to the metro and bus. So close to a nice park, restaurants and grocery stores. Walkable to the historic district if you like walking. Staff were all professional and friendly. Clean and comfortable rooms except carpets had stains. Stained carpet in my room

Location was good, rooms were clean. Helpful staff. We stayed for 3 nights yet the breakfast stayed the same each day. Some rotation would be nice.

Bed was comfortable and our suit room was spacious enough to fit a child’s cot. Staff was nice and location fair although there were some homeless people sleeping on the streets in its immediate vicinity…!!! Breakfast options were rather limited and boringly repetitive

Allowed parking up front Shower in room 406 needs repairs re silicone glass water leaks out and fix shower the shower head did not work only the wand

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great and the breakfast was very nice! The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but for the price, it was a good value.
