Amazing small boutique hotel . Great rooms good breakfast and good pool . Excellent location

Good location. Quiet despite close to city center We live in apartment and is very spacious and well equipped with dish washer despite no washing machine Staff are good and very caring The water drainage from bath tune and sink is sluggish Not much changes or variety for the breakfast but the food is high quality

Beautiful rooms, great location, friendly helpful staff

The property was so beautiful and near everything The staff were very friendly and helpful It was a bit confusing finding the property

The Spa was free and was very nice. The room was spacious. The breakfast was very nice with a large selection of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses and pastries. Thought it was miserly to charge 3.5euro for water in an expensive hotel. Should be free of charge and should have water in your room. Our rooms were up a steep set of outdoor stairs.

Our room was very spacious and clean, breakfast was great, the staff was helpful and nice, and the location is great. Very centric and felt close to restaurants and life. Can't think of much, really.

From the beginning when I began booking my stay, Teresa and Ruth couldn’t have been more helpful. From recommendations for tours to dinner and everything else - I could not be more pleased. The tuk tuk with Sandra to give us a taste of Lisbon to the day trip with private driver (Ricardo) was spectacular. We had 2 very early days and would miss breakfast but they made arrangements for us to eat early. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Casa Balthazar and all the people there. I doubt I would stay anywhere else on my next trip to Lisbon. unfortunately we did have ants because of food left out, but Ruth was ON IT. Taken care of as soon as we said anything. Like I said before: excellence.

Loved the location of Casa Balthazar. Breakfast was lovely. We stayed there twice. The second time we were in the "Cottage" which was a suite and gave us a lot of room. Loved it. We had two different experiences in asking them to call a cab. 1)They called a metered cab which was terrific and cost effective. 2) They wanted to book us a 50 Euro cab to the airport. Just book through Booking for 15-17 Euros.

The location was perfect and the staff were so kind and helpful! We felt like we were in a small chateau with a lovely living and dining room we could lounge in! The breakfast was delicious as well! The attention to detail was a nice touch! Loved our stay and would come back again!?

Pool was unfortunately cold :( We did book this place mainly because it stated it had a heated pool. The spa and jacuzzi made up for it though. Our drivers would always have a hard time finding this place for some reason.

Location, apartment style layout, employees Mattress a bit hard for our liking

Staff were very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was amazing and you could have a slice of cake all day long even if you missed the breakfast buffet.

Casa Balthazar is a true urban oasis. The location on a quiet street is just the beginning. The beautifully designed rooms throughout the house, the pool, the preserved historic architecture, the spacious and incredibly clean rooms, as well as the spa facilities make for the most relaxing stay. Breakfast is wonderful! The staff at Casa Balthazar are so welcoming and accommodating. They went above and beyond to handle a critical laundry need for us, alleviating a substantial source of stress from our trip. We had action packed days, and it was so relaxing to return to Casa Balthazar for an afternoon coffee, slice of cake, dip in the pool, or rest in our spacious room. The bed was extremely comfortable and air conditioning was exceptional. Thank you to the wonderful team at Casa Balthazar! Nothing at all!

Amazing location. Safe and secure. Huge and comfortable room in a beautiful historic old bakery. nothing

Was a great location, was very private and very quiet. Security was excellent hotel had a gate that required a security fob to enter. Breakfast was excellent as well. All staff were excellent. We used the spa area and the jacuzzi was not hot and only a few jets worked and when you pressed the master the bubbles and flow was so strong it pushed you off of the seats. The sauna did not get hot either could feel cold air coming up from the floor and the last time didn’t turn on at all. The bed was very large but was starting to sag and we had two lamps in the room that did not work at all.

We booked a suite with a huge terrace, with an absolutely incredible view, and with a private hot tub, and although it was very pricey, especially for the off-season, we thought it was worth it. Our view was stunning and visiting in a cooler month like November, it was really nice to get in the hot tub after a day of sightseeing or after dinner. The room had everything we needed, though it was a little smaller than I expected. It was very clean though. And breakfast was amazing! That was definitely a highlight as well. We got made to order items like omelettes every day plus coffee drinks, and then the buffet options were really nice and fresh too. They also provided gluten-free options for me like breads and muffins. It’s a beautiful property and I really enjoyed the artwork in the common areas. I thought the mattress was fairly hard and overall not that comfortable. I prefer memory foam or something softer, and I think for the price they could upgrade the mattresses.
