Cheap, that’s it Rude staff, hidden fees - they charged my credit card without a heads up for extra services they didn’t disclose upfront, very noisy area
-
Mattress needs changing and hall carpets need cleaning.

Great location and very friendly staff. However, the breakfast was disappointing because the dining area was very small and overcrowded. The shared accommodation was also smaller and less comfortable than I expected, so it wasn’t the experience I was looking for.

Ali at the the front desk was super happy and helpful! Great breakfast. 4 bed dorm was clean and nice. Need to clean hallway carpets.

The room was a bit small

Location was great. Walking distance to most tourist attractions. Beds comfortable and clean. Hair dryer in bathroom. Safe in room. No separate shampoo and conditioner in bathroom. There’s all in one bath gel only. Soap dispenser near the sink. No refrigerator or microwave in the room. Appreciated the A/C and the elevator. Breakfast was scrambled eggs daily and cheeses. Some days yoghurt and some days fruit salad small snacks. Some cut out meat. Cereal and milk, cake and the custard tarts. Juice and tea coffee. Overall good breakfast. For the price of the room, separate shampoo and conditioner should be added to the bathroom. Mini fridge should be added in room.

Guest should have access to refrigerator.

This was one of the nicest hostels I have stayed in during my time in Portugal. The cleanliness was excellent, the facilities were well maintained, and it was immediately clear why the property receives such strong reviews. I appreciated receiving water upon arrival, and I especially liked the luggage storage setup. Having a designated luggage area helps keep personal belongings organized and makes it easier to inspect and maintain common areas. As someone who recently dealt with a bed bug issue at another accommodation, I found this particularly reassuring. The dorm rooms were thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and offered a level of privacy and organization that many hostels lack. Overall, the property felt professional, clean, and well managed. My only significant concern involved the female dorm. At approximately 1:00 AM, a male guest was present in the female-only dormitory. When I reported the issue, I felt that my concern was not initially taken as seriously as I expected and that the focus shifted toward questioning my complaint rather than addressing the situation itself. As a solo female traveler, I choose female-only accommodations because they provide an additional sense of privacy and security. Seeing a man in the dorm late at night made me uncomfortable, and I would have preferred a more immediate and supportive response when I raised the concern. Aside from that incident, my stay was positive, and the hostel's facilities, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were excellent.

The beds were very comfortable and I appreciated that they had curtains to give more privacy. The bathroom left much to be desired. The shower had a TON of black mold all over the walls. Also the shower head was damaged so it would spray water out at crazy angles.

The staff was very friendly and gave me a lot of recommendations! There weren't any towels in the rooms, so even to dry your hands after washing them you had to get one from the desk. You also have to pay for luggage storage

Reception staff were friendly, polite, and kind. They spoke English well and were able to help me with good information. Especially Louise and Maxwell. Both very helpful!!

The receptionists were exceptional! They spoke very good English, were very kind, professional, and very helpful! Especially Louise, he was great! The breakfast was also very good. A very good selection/variety. I hope to come back and stay here again!

I had a great stay at the Central House Barcelona... this one doesn't make it as amenable to meeting other people. The common spaces in Barcelona made it great for meeting people.
