Montcalm Chilworth Townhouse, Paddington

Excellent location. Exceptional staff- friendly and helpful. Room temp could have been cooler for sleeping.

Convenient to Paddington Station, the Underground, and Hyde Park

When arriving from a 25 hour flight to be told they said your room is booked and said first in best dress I wasn’t impressed since I paid and booked 12 months ago only to be put in the basement then shifted us if we want which we did beds we like a plank with a sheet on it location was excellent but that was it I’m afraid

Fantastic stay at the Montcalm Chilworth Townhouse. We were upgraded to a larger room and were told on arrival that we were the "guest of the day", which was an unexpected bonus - received free fruit, chocolate and a bottle of prosecco! Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was impeccably clean and quiet given its location so cost to Paddington. If I was being really picky there could have been a better fruit variety at the breakfast buffet, but I'm really just trying to find things to say....

Near Paddington station and tube. Good amount of shopping, pubs and restaurants near. Walked to many sites around (good walking distance) but worth it.

I really enjoyed that it was right next to Paddington Station - it made transit to different tourists spots so much easier and accessible. The Staff were incredible and super helpful, I unfortunately had to make a few calls my first day to reception. It’s labeled as a luxury hotel, but it really wasn’t. If i wanted a luxury experience, i shouldve went to Hilton (for a few hundred bucks more). When i first walked in my room, yes it was small (i already knew based on reviews), but had such a gross food smell i had to call and ask for some room spray. Then, the fridge issue - I put my food away, not even thinking about if it was on or off, and the next day - food wasn’t good anymore because it was turned off. Why wouldn’t i expect the mini fridge in my luxury hotel to be turned on? This is why i said the Staff were incredible, because they sent a member to check on the fridge and discovered it was off, stating, “Wow, they turned it off”, and flipped the switch. Then, room service. I called asking for some utensils because i had a pastry i wanted to eat, along with a soda and glass of ice. They brought the soda, ice? Utensils? So, i asked the staff who brought me the soda for the missing items. Again, just brought a glass of ice. Then, asked again for the utensils and whatnot, and finally they brought it up. That part made me feel terribly in having to constantly ask for some service and felt like a troublesome guest.

We enjoyed our stay in The Chilworth so much, we returned for our last night in England after being there only 2 weeks prior. They put great effort and thought into making your stay lovely. From comfort to cleanliness, upgraded ammenitities to an excellent breakfast, they excel at their efforts. The staff is polite and anticipates your needs. We're so grateful that we cancelled a Heathrow hotel and stayed at Chilworth before our flight home. With Bizzaro's around the corner (delicious!) and Padington Station only a few minutes walk down the street, why opt for a Heathrow hotel? The Heathrow Express gets you into the airport terminals in 15 minutes and you've had the joy of staying at Chilworth one more night. A shout out goes to Taj and Peter. We arrived tired from a long day of travel. They set us up for breakfast and upgraded our room. Thank you!!!

The location is very good. Easy walk from Piccadilly station and therefore access to the rest of the city and Heathrow I’m not a fan of Indian cuisine so the choices at the restaurant for dinner are limited

They were flexible enough to change me to another room after the first one was too noisy from the outside heatpump. Very little space to put your bathroom stuff.

The staff were very friendly and provided exceptional service. The location is excellent--only a five-minute walk to Paddington Station for rail and underground transportation. The breakfast had numerous selections. Thank you!

- Nice staff, helpful (had an issue with the heating controls that was solved quickly), seemed like they were getting along very well with each other which is nice to watch (and rare, so congrats if our impression applies) - Clean room, big TV, fridge, microwave oven & iron available (even iron table) - Complimentary daily water, small snacks and 1 bottle of prosecco - Good Indian restaurant located at the hotel's groundfloor - Nice surroundings, good location, close to Paddington train station, as well as Elisabeth line and subway - Very small room (expected when booked, but the feeling of suffocation is valid when being there): no space to keep one's cloths for several nights, extremely small bed for two people, with uncomfortable pillows - No soundproof (we could hear people going down the stairs nearby and sometimes the sound of parquet floor from the room next - it actually seemed like they were walking in our room); the access door was not completely sealed and the lock was not working - Bad insulation for the windows (not sure if they were double-glazed, but definitely very cold next to them (we had some days with only 13 Celsius degrees max outside in the day) - Only one lift for 5 floors (but stairs available)

Staff were excellent - was checked in by Kamalin who was very pleasant. Got upgraded to a club room too which was a nice touch! The only slight gripe I had was the room a/c which I couldn’t quite find the right temperature for and was a bit ineffective but it wasn’t uncomfortable

Super convenient; close to the Paddington station. The rooms were quaint. They have an elevator, which is rare in that areal The shower was next level! The single rooms are tiny, probably around 7 feet across. The bathrooms are about the size of a cruise cabin bathroom. I'm over 6 feet tall and the bed was sufficient and comfortable. Really not a big deal for me, but some may feel cramped. I wasn't in my room that often.

The staff was so welcoming and kind and our room was well appointed and clean. The location is unbeatable. The breakfast also very good.
