Staff were brilliant

As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed warmly by the staff at the front desk. I felt right at home and was even given great recommendations of the best places to eat nearby, which was appreciated. Great, friendly place! It would have been a great perk to have had a free breakfast.

The reception area was a bit clinical with not enough seating and lacked comfort which does not make a good first impression!

the bed was really comfortable; the location was great, near the Tower of London; it was very clean. The staff was very friendly but not always reliable. For downtown London it was fairly reasonable. The lobby and desk were very plain. They agreed to give us a wake up call but there were no phones in the rooms. Hotel was hard to find. Had some trouble with our reservations.

The staff was generally very nice. The room was very quiet, so much so that we overslept our flight out of London. It's a three minute walk from the Metro which is very convenient. It's about a 7 minute walk from Tower Bridge and Tower Castle. The cleaning staff will not throw away trash/empty bottles unless you specifically put it in the garbage can. I guess I understand that. The shower/bathtub is really elevated so there's a big drop when you get out. It might be a concern for older people.
