The location, the staff, the comfort, the assistance, the beauty and luxury of the structure itself. Nothing

The room service staff were friendly, professional, and honestly the only positive part of the entire stay. Their attitude stood out because it contrasted so sharply with the rest of the experience. I raised my concerns with management about my stay, and to their credit they took them on board. They refunded my room service meals and offered a 20% discount on a future stay, along with a complimentary room upgrade and breakfast, which I do appreciate. However, I do feel the hotel should clearly state on their website that there are works taking place, as the hallways are extremely dark and this affects the overall experience. I was really disappointed with my stay. The room I was given didn’t match what I booked and felt tired, worn and poorly maintained, with stained bathroom flooring, scuffed furniture and a broken bathroom lock. The fridge was empty and even basic things like water had to be requested. The reception experience was uncomfortable and unwelcoming, and the room service food was extremely poor quality for the price. Overall, the stay didn’t reflect a five‑star standard and left me feeling undervalued and eager to leave.

Excellent location on a quiet street but minutes from all the action in SoHo. Easy walks to the quieter, more neighbourhood feel of Marleybone too. Very “ultra modern” but in the sense that the walls to the bathroom are all frosted glass. Took some getting used to and a little coordination with whoever you’re staying with!

Great location and lovely big rooms with massive comfortable beds. We had a gorgeous bath. The gym is great. The gym was being redeveloped but still really good compromise arrangements.

the location and spacious rooms facilities such as gym. There is no spa.. It feels like a 3 or at most 4 star hotel but not 5... Also shower is not convenient to use
-
Nicely appointed hotel, I liked the room and the decoration, friendly staff and probably decent value for location and service level Lift (and to some extent corridors) were very atmospheric with minimal lighting

The terrace suite was fantastic, a calm oasis in the center of London. Huge room and wonderful big balcony. Super comfy and large bed. Great little decor pieces. And fantastic pina coladas! Things are a little tired - but the Sanderson is an institution that has been going for years so that’s expected. I was pleasantly surprised. The reception is undergoing some sort of refurb so the entrance wasn’t up to its usual standards.
