Had a Wonderful 2 night stay.. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a TV volume issue which they sent someone to look at and then they moved us when they could not fix.. Breakfast was basic selection but high quality products. I would use them again for sure. The Lift was a little slow but generally did not cause much of an issue and to be honest I am being pickie as the overall stay it would be hard to find fault because anything we needed was dealt with by the great staff.

The location, very close to busses and the underground. Air-conditioned. Nice breakfast, but the same every day. The furniture arrangement in the room. The double bed is accessible from only one side, all other 3 sides are touching the walls. A smaller bed with proper access would be much better. We stayed for 9 nights, there were only 4 hangers and despite our repeated requests we did not receive not even a single hanger more. I asked the staff for a tootpick after breakfast and they told me they don't provide tootpicks for free, that I had to pay, ridiculous. I paid more than €2000 and they want to charge me for tootpicks and they won't give me extra hangers...

This is a very well presented hotel; presumably new, as everything is in immaculate condition. Spotlessly clean, smart decor, nothing tired or shabby, welcoming atmosphere. I think it's excellent value. You get a lot of comfort for your money, even if the reception feels a little bit like a hostel (bar, snack machine and shared tables in a room straight off the street). The hotel is very well located, no more than a minute's walk from Bethnal Green tube (one stop from Liverpool Street, super-convenient for The City) and it's a pleasant walk, under trees, past a couple of decent-looking bars and restaurants. [Note, if you walk the other way from the hotel, ie away from the tube, the road becomes somewhat more nondescript, with shuttered units, garages, kebab shops and more graffiti. Mind you, if you keep going, you get to Satan's Whiskers (a cracking cocktail bar) and the Love Shack (the best vegan restaurant I've ever visited).] My room was underground with no windows. I'd probably not fancy that for an extended stay, but for a night or two it was great. The room was small but brilliantly designed, making the most of every inch of space, with lights where you need them, switches in intuitive positions, sufficient hanging space, etc. The shower was good, spotless, no leaks. There are plenty of high quality pillows and towels that wouldn't feel out of place in a more upmarket hotel. Ditto for the bed, which was supportive and very comfortable. I was very comfortable and would happily stay here again. I didn't like self-check-in and check-out. Don't get me wrong; I liked the price and I realise that there will always be a trade-off, but I had four specific quibbles. Firstly, when I've already booked online and my personal details are on Booking.com's system, I don't really want to spend a couple of minutes typing it all out again on an awkward touch-screen on the wall. I know what you're going to say: the money saved by not having check-in staff means you can have a cheaper room. I get that, but my second quibble was that there WAS a member of staff standing by the check-in screens to help people with the process, which is presumably rarely seamless. It makes me wonder why he couldn't simply check people in in the traditional fashion. My third quibble was that there was a problem between the check-in system and the card reader. The card reader told me "payment approved" but the check-in system told me that it had failed and needed to be repeated. I did so but got the same result. I checked my credit card app and found that there were TWO pending payments to the hotel for the same amount. To be fair to the hotel, the employee near the check-in screens called the manager, and the manager cancelled one of the payments, but I can't help thinking that this would not have happened with a traditional check-in process. My fourth quibble was on check-out. There were now TWO members staff standing around, but neither would check me out. One pointed disinterestedly to the screens and just said "self check-out". So I had to enter some more awkward details when, having pre-paid, all I needed to do was hand in my key. Separately, one other aspect I didn't love was that, because my room had no windows, I couldn't see daylight as I woke up. Having to use artificial light first thing in the morning is slightly discombobulating.

Clean, good breakfast, fast check in, helpful staff and very close to metro station. Also there are restaurants nearby. Got a room in -1 so no windows and very small. So take this into account in case you want to spend some time in the room as it is more like a sleep&go

The small. team of staff were pleasant and helpful. However, when I went back to find the charger I'd left in the room it had not been handed in. Disappointing. It was good to have unlimited tea and coffee ecen tho' we didn't have breakfast. A bed against three walls means one of you has to climb over the other to get in and out. Tiny room meant ther wasn't enough space for two people to get dressed at the same time.
