That it had a lot of character.

The BB is on top of The Angel of Bow pub, which has a beautiful atmosphere.

Lovely room , comfortable bed , great facilities with fridge, coffee and tea and breakfast provided . Clean and friendly . A great place to stay . Entrance to rooms cluttered and unkempt and doesn't give the best first impression but once inside, the room was great.

The bedroom was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful The noise from the traffic and the road crossing was very loud and continued through the night. The breakfast was disappointing and they didn't provide any breakfast tea - only fruit tea.

The location was ideal for East London access and trains to Stratford. The bed was comfortable and room warm. Private access was very handy due to a late return. All the loos and shower are shared. Access is via an open corridor and we did not take robes. En-suite is standard for a B&B. There is no en-suite to fill the kettle, therefore the shared loo sink was used. The maid had not supplied any tea bags. There were towels for one guest, but the team provided more clean towels on request. Breakfast was supplied to the room the night before, consisting of cereal, yogurt and croissant. My main gripe was our room was next to the shower and extractor. Most guests left the extractor on after exit and people had showers at 2am, 6am and 7am onwards.

Staff were really friendly through the stay. It's only a few minutes walk from the DLR. Pub downstairs has good food and drink selection. Rooms were comfortable, tea/coffee amenities and clean shared bathroom spaces.
-
Lovely welcome, very quirky little place with lots of character. Great staff in the pub. Just a few really minor things - no tea in the room and it would have been nice to have some drinking glasses and water in the room too but, overall, we were really happy with it.

I chose the Angel of Bow because it was close to where my course was. It was a 10-minute walk. The place was located above a bar which was very noisy and near a traffic light which was quite loud. Also, the rooms were very noisy and the bed was uncomfortable.
-
Great location for going to the o2 with bus links very close, 20 min ride. Staff very friendly, good beer in the bar, Room was warm and clean. Breakfast was fine for me, coco pops and a croissant. The mattress on the bed was really poor for me, very soft and squidgy, Wi-Fi pretty much non existent, kept losing connection to the point were i gave up trying. The noise from my room radiator was also irritating, a plumber needs to look at that, radiator makes a loud rumble noise.

Staff great. Clean. Bed comfy.. Lock on toilet jammed closed, took ages to open. Coffee machine didn't work. Garden view wasn't really there. TV only showed two channels. WiFi really slow
