Friendly, helpful staff and amazing location. Tiny shower and toilet near our rooms, which were 't always spotless. Breakfast a little disappointing - pancakes didn't seem fresh but croissants etc. Lovely. How about a breakfast deal to make it more reasonable??,

The hotel staff was super kind and got our room ready a bit earlier than check-in time. They provided a fan as well since there was a heat wave during our visit. The café downstairs is very convenient for breakfast or coffee. The location was great to access the tube.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Staff were very friendly and helpful with requests No AC, during summer so this becomes extremely challenging. No mini fridge in the room Room was very small and dated Not really close to underground, its a 20 min walk. Not many groceries and shops around you need to walk for a good 15 min to find something

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The bathroom was two floors away from our room (this was in the room description) and they were extremely tiny.

It was a lovely old building. Breakfast was affordable and convenient. Pricing was great! It was quite far from transport. Needed to take a bus to get to the local tube station. No air con made it hot on a summer day. No lift made it hard for my wife to walk up the stairs.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel! Everything was spotless, tidy, and very comfortable. It is clear that the owners put their heart into the place and truly care about the interior, quality, and cleanliness. The rooms are very cozy and beautifully designed, and the hotel itself is in a very lovely location. We also really appreciated the café, where you can enjoy a nice breakfast in the morning. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would be very happy to stay here again when visiting London. -

I thought the location was fantastic for a quick overnight in London – with the train station only five minutes away, it was perfect for a single woman traveller like myself. While the room was incredibly small, it was functional and had everything I needed for a short stay. The breakfast on offer was great and a lovely way to start the day. The room was too small - shower/bathroom too small. Rude awakening - noisy neighbours.

Clean comfortable facilities. Very helpful staff. Cafe on premises, patio

Great little hotel, very pleasantly furnished in the original style, with a great cafe and friendly service for breakfast right in the building. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, public transport around the corner. I did not expect such great accommodation for such a reasonable price

  • Engine customer May 2026

very little room to move for 2 people. very small bathroom which you cannot stand comfortably. no ac, the bed was uncomfortable.

  • Engine customer May 2026

Great value, very quiet, comfortable beds, very good fridge, very good location near Holland Park and convenient for Kensington and central London. Small Sainsburys nearby. Option to use cafe at entrance. Would stay again. Did not see AC, which if absent would be an issue in summer but was not a problem while we stayed.

  • Engine customer May 2026

The facility is very outdated, old and dirty with steep stairs, no fridge, no microwave, no AC, it doesn't equip any necessary amenities as a hotel. I am kinda disappointed.

  • Engine customer May 2026

Shared bathroom which is very tiny.

  • Engine customer May 2026

The staffs are great. The door lock is kind of old but I called the phone and within 15 minutes he helped me to solve the problem online. You can hear other’s voices, but it’s a building from Victoria’s time so all wood what else I can expect

Great location, and good food. Nice lobby... Clean, quiet...

  • Engine customer Mar 2026

Excellent location, staff were friendly and helpful and accommodating. There was no WiFi, there was nowhere to fill up water bottles

We stayed for 6 nights here in a two queen bed. The hotel is in a good location that is a 3 minute walk to the closest bus stop which is what we usually took to get around the city. Expect it to take 40ish minutes to central London though, it is a bit far in that respect but it wasn't that much of a problem for us since the bus stop is at least close by and runs late. Room was quiet and we were able to get restful sleep. Staff working at the connecting coffee shop are not actually part of the hotel but they were helpful and nice when we needed things like hot water since the room did not have a kettle. Cleaning staff was also good. There was also a mini fridge in our room. We knew the room would be old based on past reviews but it was still older/scuffier than we expected which showed especially with the bathroom door/lock (attached pic), corners of the room, and decor. It's not that it's outdated only, there's paint chipping and parts of the bathroom look cheaply put together. The painting they have hung up has rips in it. Expect the bathroom sink/shower to be a bit small also. Looking at past review photos, I think some rooms were newer than the one we had. It was hard to reach the hotel staff, it could take a day for them to reply on the WhatsApp in place of reception. I think they sometimes show up in the morning though. They said they don't provide clothing irons because of fire hazard, I've never heard of a hotel not being able to provide a clothing iron so that was strange to me. They also don't provide shampoo/soap beyond this green liquid that is held in a soap dispenser attached to the shower wall so make sure to bring your own. In terms of value, the room provides what you need and is maybe the cheapest thing you'll be able to find in London besides a private room in a hostel.

The hotel is well connected by buses to Shepherd's Bush over/underground metro, and the area is quite nice. The cafe downstairs is great for a meal/coffee. The room was sufficient for me, as I was travelling solo - clean room, comfy bed, and clean bathroom. The staff working there are lovely.

  • Engine customer Dec 2025

The room is small, and it has like two doors before you can enter and leave but it was Ok.

  • Engine customer Sep 2025

Great location not too far from several tube stations. Close to several shopping areas, coffee shops, and parks as well. Quiet and quaint. Would stay here again!
