Very easy to get around from. Prices are reasonable and not everything has a charge like some hostels. Laundry is coin operated and there is no way to get coins on the property. Very limited space to hang and store items.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Good value for price and good location. It was definitely older. They cleaned everyday but there was deep dirt and grime that comes with time. They can’t help it but multiple roommates snored so loud I couldn’t sleep even with ear plugs that were offered at the front desk.

I had an issue with the outlet in my bed. But no big deal I could charge elsewhere in the room.

The cloth drying was out of order throughout 4 days of my stay ( a weekend in the middle may be the cause), the shower in the female dorm room does not work properly, the toilet of the room have some stain.

Very close to Victoria Park and an easy 10 min walk from the tube station Breakfast wasn’t available until about 15 mins after the time stated, as we needed to leave shortly after that it was a bit rushed.

The location is great, tube station and bus stops are super close, and multiple options are available for supermarkets and restaurants. Staff members are super helpful. It was a very comfortable stay, would definitely recommend it.

Breakfast: N/A, did not partake. There was a carton of eggs you could cook yourself on a real pan, which I think is nice compared to hotel "buffet" breakfasts with masses of cooked eggs. But the accompaniment was croissants, and I have to eat gluten-free, so I skipped the breakfast. I did make myself some cup noodles from down the road in the microwave. My room was quiet, and my bed was comfortable. Most importantly, it was on the bottom bunk, which I had requested. The front desk staff were unfailingly kind and welcoming. The only thing I didn't enjoy, and the reason for the low-ish overall comfort rating, was that it was very, very cold throughout the room, and particularly the bathroom, which felt like the same temp as outside (literally freezing). Once under my comforter and asleep I was warm enough, but any time I was awake and out of bed, I was shivering. Note that it is winter time, so it's to be expected. (I will note that there was one very warm room, the kitchen. If I hadn't needed the sleep, I'd have just hung out in there.) I thought it was a very decent place that I'd visit again, but only during warmer weather!

It is near the underground entrance which is very accommodating plus the staff was really nice and helpful !

Clean and comfortable bed. Great location. Nice staff. Smelly and dirty kitchen.

Great location, only a very short, flat walk to Mile End Tube Stations. Coop close by plus London Coffee for a nice Veg Samosa and Cappuccino at a good price, The brown carpet made seeing the stairs at night hard, but that’s only a problem for old folks.

    Nothing

Friendly staff, provided a clean room with plenty of luggage space. Well worth the money The street noise was loud, but to be expected in most places in London

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

Bathroom a little shabby and in general needs a bit of sprucing up

The hostel was very clean and had really comfortable beds. The curtains on the beds to give more privacy are a great idea. The room had lots of space. The staff was super helpful and helped me find something I had forgotten there. Totally recommended!

Friendly staff, great public transportation connections and a warm and cozy area. Unfortunately the duvet covered in plastic was a bit uncomfortable for me. Otherwise everything was great.

Excellent location, nearby there's a National Express stop for a super easy transfer to/from Stansted, a tube station, grocery shops, cafe's and restaurants. The hostel was clean and I felt safe during my stay. No bedbugs. The kitchenette had everything I needed and more. Staff was friendly. I had no issue with either staff members or other guests. Overall it was very comfortable for the price. I would most likely choose this hostel again if I travel solo to London on a budget in the future. The cupboard by the bed wouldn't close when charging with an adapter. If I'm staying here again I will probably buy a UK socket compatible charger to avoid this issue and be able to charge my phone throughout the night. The top bunk was a bit wobbly, even when someone was walking in the room without touching the bed.
