The location was good near to Finsbury Park and the train station. Plenty of shops nearby, cafes and restaurants. Helpful, friendly staff. Good breakfast. Lovely views of Finsbury Park but road is loud. The place could be much better if they invested in new carpets throughout. The carpets were old and threadbare, especially the stairways. The entrance and reception area to the hotel look good but then the carpets let it down. Room was smaller than looked on the photos. Could do with bedside cabinets as nowhere to put anything like a phone, bottle of water etc. Space either side of the beds was limited, so just a shelf would be an idea. Very hot room but a fan was provided but loud to keep running in the night. Small bathroom, when sitting on the toilet washbasin was right in front of you.

It was very close to a step-free train station which was great for our carry-ons. The hotel included breakfast and had a nice staff 24/7. The shower was clogged and the water was backing up. We told reception and someone came to look at it, but the problem wasn't really fixed. Since we were leaving soon anyway, we just let it go.

The receptionist was very helpful and it was close to the emirates which is where we were attending a concert. When we arrived at our room, it was completely different from how it had been advertised online. The rooms were much smaller, darker, and far less appealing than the photographs suggested. The first room we were allocated felt very dirty, and both of us became itchy almost as soon as we entered. I unfortunately came away from the weekend covered in bites. The carpet was also disgusting, and the toilet did not flush properly. We raised our concerns with the receptionist, who was absolutely fantastic and did her best to help. She kindly showed us two alternative rooms within the same price range. Unfortunately, one was virtually identical to the first room—very small and nothing like the advertised photos. The second room was still disappointing but appeared slightly cleaner and a little larger, so we accepted it. Breakfast was included with our stay, but after seeing the condition and cleanliness of the rooms, we did not feel comfortable eating there and decided not to risk it. Overall, the hotel was extremely misleading compared to its online photographs, and the standard of cleanliness was far below what we expected.
