I liked that it was close to where I need to go. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And I liked that there were lights on over the car parking, that made it feel more safe. The ac worked great! There were BUGS! And the door lock was very flimsy which as a solo female was very scary! The bed was uncomfortable and the cleaning was bad.

It’s rare that you get cleaning service anymore and they came in and made our beds clean the room a bit. It was really nice. They gave us a remote for our TV, but the remote didn’t even work and the area was kind of sketchy but not as bad as some locations in LA

The room was larger than most. But not up to par on cleanliness. The dust layers on top of all surfaces. The lack of clean smell in the room. No microwave and very dated refrigerator that rocks when you pull it open making it a bit of a hazard to open. Staff is somewhat pleasant I suppose but not olly Polly insects in the shower. We did not bathe there. This is unacceptable. The bathroom needs renovation to be up to code. The shower wall is crumbling apart where the wheelchair attachment is attached to the wall. We were put in an accessibility room for a wheelchair—which was not necessary and the shower was not above the tile floor and also very unsanitary to use. Due to these issue there were insects in the shower tile in the shower and bathroom. The sink water smelled like sewage. Not a motel I’d recommend to anyone. You’re better off staying elsewhere

Close to DTLA. Easy to reach places in K town. Front desk staff is friendly, even when sleepily greeted at 11pm for check in. They have a small fridge which works well to chill your drinks or keep food safe. The room also has a safe which I didn't use. Ample switches/lighting in room. Parking ( also see dont like) have decent spacing where you park at an angle). I never worried about a reasonable person getting out of their car dinging my car. Of course, this assumes you/they do not park at the edge of the parking lines. There is no "do not disturb" sign to hang. I thought it was missing but the desk said they don't do that. So I had to everyday tell housekeeping that I didn't need service. On the room, AC unit is VERY loud and comes on/off but works well... This is an old style motel where cars are parked minutes from the door. You will hear other folks come/go. The amenities (shampoo/soap/etc) really bad. For shower, it was a multipurpose green solution for cleaning--I ended up going to supermarket to get shampoo and bodywash. So, this was a HUGE disappointment. But, I've never stayed at 2-star level hotels through booking before so maybe this is to be expected? Anyways, continuing. They did not have tissue box. No clock but that was fine--I use my phone. Bathroom has efficient low volume toilet. Shower fit tall people nicely. Hot water was fast to come through and very good water pressure. Showerhead is basic--you can't change settings. Not a dislike but to point out a negative potetially for you. Casa Bella is safe, but it is in LA Downtown, folks, so neighborhood is so-so. Go 1/2 mile north you will hit Langer's, famous deli spot but addicts lighting up outside at 9:30am (I was there at that time to fit in #19 sandwich). The parking lot of a Ross store nearby is fenced in. Still, i was able to walk around 10pm down to the nearby corner Taco King fine. Parking--I was not affected but on one weekend nite I see cars double-parked (i.e. blocking cars that are in marked spots). Looks like I don't like much more than what I like,
