Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX

Great place to stay before getting on a plane. Shuttle service to the airport and it was close to the parking garage where we left the car. There are a couple of fast food restaurants within a 10 minute walk like subway , Starbucks, and a Carl’s Jr. other than that you are stuck with in-house dining or one of the adjacent hotels restaurants.

The property is very nice, and the room was very clean and comfortable. We checked in fairly late in the evening after a Dodger's game and the area was very busy due to its proximity to the airport, so we were somewhat confused about our parking options. However, that was resolved and it was very easy to return our rental car the next morning and make it in plenty of time for an early flight out of LAX. They also offer a shuttle service to the airport, so I would recommend this hotel for travelers, especially if they have an early flight.

The room was better than most hotels I have stayed at, and it was cheaper than most places with this level of service! They accommodated me with 1 day’s advance booking, and honestly, I can’t complain.

This property was very clean, welcoming, has great restaurants in the lobby and an awesome location for walking. The hotel has free airport shuttle serviceI to and from that runs every 20 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

However, one experience with the shuttle service was very disappointing. We were traveling with our 5-year-old child and had multiple items, including two suitcases, a car seat, and a stroller. When we arrived at the anirport and began getting off the shuttle, the driver assisted the other three travelers with their luggage. But when it came to our family, he did not offer any help at all. I was left carrying the car seat while holding my child, and he simply stood there and watched. This felt like unfair and disrespectful treatment, especially when assistance was clearly being provided to others. While tipping is customary for good service, it should be earned through basic courtesy and professionalism. Aside from this incident, the rest of the hotel staff made a positive impression. I hope management can address this inconsistency in service to ensure all guests are treated equally and with respect.

I also didn't like that the parking garage is not attached to the hotel. It was a bit of a walk to get to my car.

We stayed at the sonesta after our flight was cancelled for a couple of nights. One of our preferred rooms was not available but they made up for it. I was happy to extend our stay at the sonesta using the airport shuttle from and back to the airport. Close to Venice beach by Uber so the extra 36 hours was worth it!

This is a great place to stay except for the check in line. Check in seems to take forever at this location.

Great shuttle service to the airport with friendly drivers. Breakfast is a bit pricey for quality and variety offered, and the hotel is generally understaffed.

My son recommended this hotel since it's where he stays whenever he's in town. It's not too far from LAX, super clean, and the staff was great and really accommodating. I'll definitely stay here again.

Upon check in, I had a good experience. No issues at all. The woman who checked me in was really nice and explained where parking is, how to get into the parking lot (card used for down payment or QR code pass), destination/resort fees, incidentals, etc. When we went to go park it took us 30 MINUTES to find where The Sonesta parking area in the lot was because we didn’t get clear instructions. I called hotel back and they told me it’s there but they’re not sure exactly where. We had to talk to two parking staff (one had a hard time due to language barrier). Nonetheless, we found it. Room was nice and bathroom was cleaned. There was somethings that were left a bit dirty but nothing dramatic or unpleasant. Bed and pillows were comfortable. During our stay we didn’t get our room cleaned and ensured we did not put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on. Prior to leaving for the day, I called to check on housekeeping and was informed we’d still get one by 1:30. I explained this to front desk during check out and she accommodated us. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the stay however we wouldn’t come back only because it didn’t fit our needs/wants like we expected it to. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth. We just have a preference. S/O to Maria and Luz for being the only nice staff to us :)

I’ve visited a couple of times, and while the service was okay, the front desk receptionist didn’t come across as welcoming. A friendlier approach would make guests feel more comfortable.

Warning fellow travelers! This hotel overbooks then lies while they turn you away! Having a reservation here means nothing!!!
