Louisville Marriott Downtown

Property was nice! Room was as expected! Valet/service was much to be desired! Room service snd bar service was some of the worst I’ve ever encountered! Was told by room service they had water; but if I wanted then I had to come get them myself! She wasn’t delivering them! Bartender in the hotel lounge was so bad it was laughable!! Told us she was doing us a favor by waiting on us! Lost her mind when I ask for 3 small bowls to put nuts in so our party of eight didn’t have to pass around the same cardboard cup she put them in!

It wasn't far from the Louisville fairgrounds. We went for the car show. Thursday to sun. Great bar! We had absolutely no problems til Saturday am. Brunch. Mimosas not served til 10am. No problem. Sun am I called the restaurant early. Yup. They start at 10 am. So we sit. Now it's 10:15. Oh she's setting the bar up. Gave it a few mins. The manager comes over and said give her some time. Well...... Instead of going to the bar and say make some mimosas he said wait. Bottomless for $10. Might not sound like an issue but..... should have been up and running the bar by 10am. We werent the only ones complaining. So, we left. Now....... On to checkout..... We prepaid our room. Asked at checkin. All good. Just pay for whatever we charge to the room. Not so much when we checked out. Got recharged again plus all our added charges. Drinks. Breakfast. Oh and the parking!!!!! Ridiculous!!!! 40$ a day for the underground parking. It was easy but the charge. Per day. Now..... They wanted me to pay and figure it out Monday when we go home. NOPE!! Get me someone to figure out NOW. I had to go into my account to show them my payment. I had receipts. Ended up doing it all right there. Plus took off the parking charge per day. What's crazy is I read reviews on booking.com. this looks to be an issue the hotel has. We've NEVER had an issue with booking.com. This was a hotel issue. Highly doubt we'll ever go back there.

The staff was excellent. My checking process was very smooth, and the rooms are updated and clean.

The property is lovely and the front desk staff were very helpful, friendly and engaging. Also the valet team was wonderful and gave us recommendations for restaurants and turned us onto 4th Street Live a couple of blocks away. I really appreciated that information. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, would recommend and will definitely be back next year!

Only con was that our rooms air was not working for one night and it was very hot and steamy due to a motor being "burnt out". The first night sleep was uncomfortable but other than that it was fantastic l.
