Quality Inn & Suites University/Airport

I didn't even get my rooms, staff was not very nice very dismissive of the issues at hand. The power was out so no one could check in. The police was called on some people at the premises before we left to find other accommodations. They did state they would give a full refund. But, I have yet to see one and I've tried contacting the them about it. No answer from there phone.

Hallway no air conditioning. It’s not the best location to get to and area not good.

The man at the counter when we made the complaint was very rude and accusatory. He talked like we were lying because we didn't mention it after first checking in. We asked if they could get someone to clean it at least, and he said none of the cleaning people were in and no one was capable of cleaning out the drain. Later that evening my husband went back to the front desk to ask for cleaning supplies, so he could just clean the shower/tub himself. Same person as earlier was wat the front desk. Suddenly there was a cleaning person available who could also snake the drain, but she ended up not being able to snake the drain. Honestly don't recommend this place. If you have an issue, you might get lucky and the person at the front desk might be nice and help you out. Or, they might be accusatory and rude and unhelpful and maybe even lying ("no one can clean the shower" to "yeah someone actually is here to clean the shower"). We weren't rude or demanding when we mentioned the dirty shower, so unsure why the guy was so rude to us.

Hotel was in a terrible area. The clerk was rude not sure if it was due to him not really understanding English. Tub didn’t work. Breakfast had hair in it. Glad it was 1 night and next time I won’t try and save money. And for some reason key card stopped working.

The swimming pool was unavailable and the whirlpool in our room didn't work

Nothing was cleaned in months!!

The room was very spacious and clean. The lobby area was also very clean ut what was very disturbing was the trash in the parking lot and even right in front of the entranceway. when I mentioned the trash the front desk clerk after checking me in immediately went outside and picked up the trash.

The rooms were terrible. There were vents falling off the wall, mold on the walls, blood stains, human liquid stains on couching. Never had any pool towels, breakfast was almost non-existent. Jacuzzi tub did not work. TV did not work and was not able to get on to the Internet. Stuff wes not helpful at all, inside and outside of hotel had the odor of pot.

It was a terrible stay, upon arrival the front desk clerk was extremely rude, no help at all. I was traveling alone with my two small children ages 6 and 5, he watched as I carried a large bag too small other bags as well as holding my children's hands to the elevator push the button stand and wait for a good 10 minutes before he walked out and all he said was that's broke use the stairs.. we get to the second floor the smell of marijuana was so strong it would take your breath and my 6-year-old child has chronic lung disease. The door keys did not work properly there's stains all over the carpet thick black stains, we finally get into the room there is potato chips shoved inside of the vent in the air conditioner there was hair all in the bathtub the bathtub was dirty soap scum and yellow rings and what looked like pubic hair in the tub there was makeup and fingernail polish all over the counter of the sink, mold around the openings of the Jets to the tub, the mattress was lopsided and felt like there was a metal bar running down the center of it. It was a terrible experience however we did finish saying the one night we had booked due to the fact that we had drove 4 hours to be in Mobile for my son's surgery early the next morning. I will never stay at this hotel again and I highly recommend that no one else does either. Absolutely disgusting. The continental breakfast was non-existent there was no coffee in the morning not even dry cereal.

The door to our the lock on the inside was broke, the bathtub was gross, the staff was not friendly and didn't speak English. The whole hotel smelled and was dirty. Would not recommend

The jacuzzi tub! I think the room was a great value for the price. Overall it was clean and there were great amenities in the room - even a stove!! There was a little bug at one point (not bed bugs!). The pool was closed the whole time I was there. The fitness room was mediocre at best. Not the best spot for a long trip, but for a weekend getaway or a relaxing retreat I would definitely recommend.

Everything else

Breakfast buffet was extremely lacking & poor quality. Vending machine didn't work & had difficulty communicating with clerk to get a refund. Outside hotel there were people smoking marijuana right at the entrance everyday. Homeless tarp city across the street & they seemed to hang out in the hotel parking lot.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was available each day but not always well-stocked. Pool was closed. Shower water was tepid and water pressure low. A customer was stuck on the elevator for 45 minutes. We stayed here a year ago and it seemed to be in better shape. The best thing was the price.

This hotel was an ideal location regarding proximity to the University and the track meet I was there for. It was a good price - especially considering the stay includes breakfast: (coffe/tea/juice, cereal, toast, some eggs, make it yourself waffles etc). The place is fairly run down (which i knew from the reviews) and the pool was closed (per the health department!) while I was there. The room, though imperfect, seemed clean and the check in/check out easy with helpful staff. I'd stay there again if needing a short stay for cost and convenience to campus, but if you are looking for something "nice" or you have above C+ /B-standards for hotels, this wouldn't be the place for you.
