Lunch was good. Breakfast was superb. we were the only ones left in the bar by 9pm didnt realise Louth was that quiet on a thursday night. Not the pubs fault but quite sad.

The hotel was in a great location and everyone was very nice. I really liked the dedicated space for hotel guests and the food was excellent. More lighting in the parking lot. My rental car was damaged/vandalized during the night.

Cool historic property. Good pub inside. Very nice breakfast. Good parking. Friendly staff. Easy to get to. Rooms are a bit dated, but not bad.

The location of this pub is ideally located, and the free, secure parking is a huge bonus. The lovely, friendly welcome upon arrival was much appreciated. The hotel and pub is really interesting and quirky. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and again, we got a lovely friendly welcome each day which was fab. A great choice of breakfast items were available. Bed was comfy, and plenty warm enough. The description did say there was a coffee machine in the room and there wasn't, it was instant coffee and a kettle. This isn't a huge problem but we don't like instant coffee and usually bring along a cafetiere and our own coffee - we didn't bother because the room had said there was a coffee machine. Unfortunately the coffee provided at breakfast also wasn't very nice. It just tasted of hot water. But it's probably more because we both like really strong coffee and I think it was just general strength filter coffee. Again, not a huge problem but if you need a strong coffee to get started in the morning - take your own Noise - we expected a certain amount of noise with it being a pub and it being bank holiday weekend and this is not a complaint, just a warning - although the band had finished just before 11.45pm there were customers chatting loudly outside till at least 12.35pm - discussing where to go next , singing loudly, talking in loud voices and swearing. And again we understand because drunk people don't generally realise how loud they are being but we were actually in a family suite and if we'd had kids with us they would definitely have been disturbed by the noise so just be aware when booking. I'd say it's perfect if you're intending a late night yourself but if you want to be able to sleep before 11pm , (or closer to 12.30am in our case) then it might not be tbe place for you. That being said none of these things are complaints just things that I would advise future guests to be aware of when booking. It didn't stop us having a great time.
