Luang Phasouk Hotel

My room was a decent size as I was traveling alone. It was on a quiet street, so I did not hear any noise at all. What I liked most about the place was that it is central to many temples and a short walking distance to the night market, Mt. Phousi and a ton of shops and local restaurants. The bus stop to Kuang Si waterfall is about a 15-20 minute walk (in Thatluang Park and is about 50k for one way-way cheaper than booking privately). The staff was very nice and accommodating and kept my room clean. If you like firm mattresses like I do, be advised the beds are very soft and bouncy. The bathroom was clean, but had a few ants as it was a bit hot outside. Also, if you want to see the monk procession early in the morning, they do lock the doors at night and no one is at the desk. It was dark, so I did not see they left the key at the front desk, so just look there and you can let yourself out.

Convenient to everything, 5-10 minutes walk to local stores, restaurants. Staff are very accommodating, friendly, helpful. Also the WIFI is really good and stable. I got the standard room which had everything just a bit small but had everything I needed!

Good location, good service

The hotel is conveniently located near the main road, the Mekong River, and the night market street. The owner was very welcoming and helpful, recommending places to eat and helping us buy train tickets. It was great value for money, and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Luang Prabang

Location & luxury

I felt so welcome at the hotel! It was very clean and the location is PERFECT. Right there in the center. The receptionist Giang helped me to carry my bag to the room (I was injured) and helped me with many of my questions. Booking excursions and transport at the hotel was so easy too. I did the full day excursion. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Stay was perfect!

The electronic door locks didn't allow the doors to close without slamming them, and the walls are a bit thin (nothing like being woken up at midnight to people arriving at the next door room to be then kept up with noise - furniture moving (?), loud spitting/throat clearing (?), shower running, etc.) Thankfully they only stayed a night.

Amazing location - close to the market, main street and pier, but also very quiet. Host was nice and accessible even if his English is basic (Google Translate helps). Breakfast wasn't anything special but nice enough. Everything was clean and laundry service was fast and efficient. We took their shuttle service to Nong Khiaw which is reasonably priced.

Excellent location and decent price, although I expected more for the price. Nice cat. No view, very bland and repetitive breakfast. Very small room. Place to keep shoes downstairs is not very secure (this is an issue in places that require shoes off inside the building as it's not uncommon for good shoes to be stolen).

This charming and unpretentious guesthouse offers a comfortable stay within easy walking distance of Luang Prabang’s main attractions. What truly sets it apart, however, is the warmth and attentiveness of the staff—especially Giang, whose thoughtful gesture of preparing and delivering homemade cold brew after noticing my fondness for coffee exemplified the kind of personal touch that makes a place memorable. I would return without hesitation.

We had a very nice 4 night stay. The location really is perfect: close to the night market and an easy walk everywhere you need to be. They have all kinds of activities and transportation options posted on the wall and can be booked easily. Laundry service is on-site and is done quickly. Even though the room is small, the bed is comfortable and the A/C works great. For the price we paid for the room, I was happy with the breakfast choices as well as being able to have water, coffee, and tea all day long. What sets this place apart from other guesthouses is Giang at the front desk. She was so kind and accommodating. She booked several train tickets and the waterfall transport for us. She really cares about her guests and is easily reached by WhatsApp if she is not at the desk. If I could give her 10 stars I would! The room we stayed in could use a more hooks to hang things since the space is small.

This hotel is a real value. Over expectation. Staff is always there and helpful. Good breakfast. Other service available. Location is in the very center.
