Amazing location right in the heart of old town. On an alley that hosted part of the morning market. We had a family room in the back on the upper floor and it was very quiet. Double bed was pretty comfortable but the single beds were pretty firm. Breakfast wasn’t bad but pretty inconsistent. Some days the eggs were cooked well and the fruit was fresh, other days not so much.

Very helpful staff Similar to many hotels in the area the rooms are a bit more rustic

The was too big for us, with too many furniture. Wasn’t cozy. There was a bad smell from the toilet and bathroom room. The staff was a bit cold, wasn’t helpful.

Great breakfasts made by staff. Quiet location except for sometimes drums playing, maybe from the Wat/temple, once at 4am on a Tuesday that woke me but I am a light sleeper. Heavy sleepers did not wake from it. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. The AC is quite strong. Not too loud either. We had an extremely spacious room with lots of chairs and tables. We are small people and could have fit on the larger bed with all 3 of us (family with a 12 yr old) space wise, though having the extra bed was very nice. The beds were very comfortable. I liked that the shower was separate from the toilet area and the restroom was extremely spacious. Very nice look to the grounds as it seems well maintained despite being in an older location. They set up a tour for us to Kuang Si and Pak Ou which was a great experience. Had to book the afternoon prior. Morning market is right outside the entrance. Night market is on the main road which is a short distance as well. Perfect location for the markets and very close walking distance to Mount Phousi and the National Museum. It can be difficult to find the location because you may have to be dropped off further away during the night market if you arrive when that’s going. Make sure to walk into the night market. Don’t use the address provided by Booking.com to locate the property. It takes you to the wrong location. Use the name of the property and search on Google maps. I see it as Luang Prabang Residence (The Boutique Villa) on Google maps. It’s right next door to a temple where they do Alms giving. You may need to lug bags for 5 minutes to get to the hotel depending on where you get dropped off, and you cannot drive right up to it unless you have a scooter. When we were leaving around 11am it was a clear walk (no more morning market) to the front of the Wat where a bunch of minivans and tuktuks were waiting in case you need a ride. Mosquitoes are a fact in this country and because the doors open directly to the outside you have to be careful not to let them in. This is not a criticism of the hotel. The room can stay pretty humid so if you plan to wash your own clothing and hang it in the room it’s not ideal, but things will still dry up after some time depending on the material. I would not recommend washing the day before leaving the room. Booking a taxi to the train station was at a marked up price if booked through the hotel. If you can find your own negotiated ride it will be cheaper. But we are talking only a few dollars difference. I reused my driver from when we arrived because I got his WhatsApp contact. It was 180k kip vs 250k for a private taxi for 3. Can’t blame the hotel for trying to make a living.

The location is excellent, the hotel is authentic and very clean, the rooms are very clean, the service from the owner and his wife is always with a smile, highly recommended and I will return there without a doubt. Nothing

Lovely hotel near the Mekong River, near the Shompoo cruise boat departures, next to the morning market. Host was incredibly nice/kind and offered us a welcome drink. We didn't have time to have breakfast so he packed everything for us. Rooms are very nice, clean and family room is big. Fridge and airco in room. Don't hesitate.

The pillows, mattress and beddings must be improved, they are old and not comfortable

A perfect location off the main road. Right outside the entrance is the fascinating morning market used by local people, and the evening market is on the main road a short distance away. It is a beautiful old building and the room was large and comfortable. Easy walking distance to a number of beautiful wats, Mount Phousi (lovely for sunrise), the Royal Palace museum, the Ock Pop Tok Living Craft Centre, and the Traditionl Arts and Ethnology Centre. Unfortunately the scenic bamboo bridge across the Nam Khan river has been destroyed. The breakfast was very basic - just a small selection of cooked choices and some fresh fruit, and instant coffee despite excellent local ground coffee being available in the shops. The two guys on reception were friendly and helpful, but the female staff were not friendly.

Best accommodation we stayed in SE Asia. The employees were very kind and helpful. Had a long travelday and we were welcomed with a nice refreshing drink when we arrived at the accommodation. Rooms itself are just ‘wow’. Super big, superclean,.. Everything is present (even an hairdryer), shower is nice and big, there is a fridge.. just amazing place, no noice or light in the room whatsoever. There is a lot of choice for the included breakfast as well, super nice! We checked out at 11am, but were still able to use the free bikes to wander around in the city until 4.30pm (they even signed us a map). They took care of our luggage in the meantime. Highly recommend for whoever wants to stay in Luang Prabang! None.

Great location and nice building nestled in amongst other old buildings. Over priced for what you get.

I stayed twice at this hotel, particularly so both times I could leave my luggage there during side trips, very useful. Position is excellent between night market at end of street and the river and ferry docks but off a quiet laneway and set back in lovely garden without the traffic noise, also with private leafy sitting areas outside each room. Next to large Wat so chanting can be heard in the afternoon, also drums and gongs early morning if that's a problem, but I found it pleasant. Rooms are huge with fridge and very large shower and bed. Lovely dark wood in Laos style and very clean. Reception booked my bus and slow boat tickets and assisted with transfers, even made my breakfast early before a very early start on one occasion. Greatly appreciated! Colourful local market right outside the entrance, noisy in the morning but fascinating and a great chance to stock up on fruit and snacks for a trip. Since no transport can use the lane in the morning Negotiating a path through the very crowded market with large luggage for the inevitable early morning departures can be difficult and extra time is needed, though staff and drivers were always helpful. Nice freshly prepared breakfast options are taken in the garden but it can get quite hot once the sun comes up.

This is an amazing place to stay. It is a little slice of heaven in the middle of the town. It was so quiet that you wouldn’t believe that the bustling morning markets were right outside the entrance and a busy main street wasn’t far away. It is right behind the temple and set in a lovely garden. Breakfast, whilst it wasn’t a buffet like we had been used to on our trip so far, was delicious and less wasteful, which is admirable. Thom was amazing and went out of his way to help us. The room itself was very spacious and had everything that we required. This accommodation is walking distance to the main street where the night markets are held. The giving of arms to the monks ceremony at sunrise is also at the end of the little laneway as is the beautiful Mekong River where you can easily pop on a boat to do a cruise.

Great location near centre of town and near the markets. Super friendly staff, nice banana pancakes for breakfast Cockroach in the bathroom freaked me out but the place was generally clean, I think unfortunately it is near the markets so not unexpected
