Close to the motorway. Some staff members were welcoming and helpful. On arrival our hotel room we had cigarette ash in the ashtray. The room was dirty and felt very damp. Door lock was broken. Door had to be forced to close. Thermostat stopped working in the room, one of the members of staff fixed this after some time once I made them aware. We paid over £200 for this stay, while we sat in the restaurant I was looking at other hotels locally to get booked in but there was no availability. I would not stay in this hotel and advise people to pay no more than £40

It might be ok during busier times We booked the hotel after reading of a warm welcome and great restaurant, we have also always had many great experiences with Logis affiliated hotels. What we weren’t told when we booked and paid online was that everything was closed. We received a text giving us a gate code and front door code. When we arrived there was no one there. A key had been left on reception desk for us. We went to the room but the whole hotel had a damp unpleasant smell. We messaged the owners to say that we would not be staying and left to find a pleasant hotel locally. I have messaged the hotel a couple of times to discuss a refund but have not had a reply.

Everything was as to be expected from this type of hotel, however what was outstanding was the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food - the dinner was delicious and very reasonably priced. Travelling with a motorcycle, the area also felt safe enough and I could see my bike on the private parking from my window.

Very good spot to spend the night while travelling. Easy access from the highway. The hotel is quite and has a large parking lot. The staff is very friendly. The breakfasts are really good and home made.

Location for journey home, nice restaurant and comfortable bed Small bathroom without shower curtain or enclosure meaning the floor got very wet

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Dinner was really nice and breakfast was great. Great as a stop off while travelling further south. Rooms were nice and clean and bed was comfy
