Charming hotel with a separate living room. Wonderful furnishings, super clean and delightful staff member who brought a breakfast hamper filled with fruits, croissant, cereal and coffee. Walking distance to town. Breathtaking views of the beach. Wonderful restaurants in town. Loved the charm of this town! No complaints.

Excellent location just at the top of Broad Street. Slight hill up from the beach and South West Coast Path to Marine Parade (Beware of Seagulls!). Communication was very clear and began early (giving us the door code by which the front door opens) and continued with directions for ordering the continental breakfast. We enjoyed how it arrived by picnic basket outside our room. The room was efficient but attractive with plenty of room for two people to walk around and use the small table and larger table. The tv worked well and connected easily to streaming services we had accounts for. We were able to tuck our bags into the office after check out so we could take another walk to the Cobb before leaving. We also had access to the kitchen but we already had enough tea and things in our room. Had to be able to arrange a cab ahead of time in order to get from Axminster train to town - there is a bus but only every two hours (not the hotel’s fault just a note for those relying on public transport). Just a suggestion: the room decor could have been more in theme with its given name (Mary Anning). The bathroom was a bit bare bones: it could have used a circulation fan and the doorknob could use a refresh to close better. There were plenty of windows for natural light but the set up was a bit odd: there were newer sliding windows in front of older sash windows and the sliding windows could get a little stuck (and we had to be careful not to keep them open enough to let in pigeons).

Perfect location, lovely room with such a comfortable bed. The staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast hamper was great. We loved it all!

A lovely spacious room with excellent facilities, bathroom and comfort. Well-located for walking around Lyme Regis. Good breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastry and juice. Helpful staff contactable by text/phone. I felt a little rushed by the request for the return of my breakfast basket before I had finished eating (though I admit I was having a leisurely morning, I would have liked to have finished and returned this in my own time. Would have been great to have new teacups with breakfast rather than having to re-use the ones in the room, but I didn't check whether there were any available in the kitchem (which was well-stocked with toast and preserves).

The location and breakfast. The stairs were a challenge to our old knees, especially hauling suitcases.

Loved having a little balcony or garden area with table and chairs. Staff were incredibly responsive and helpful and breakfast was delicious. Would have liked a window in the ground floor room.

Lovely room and comfortable bed. Nice bathroom, plenty of hot water. Central location. Minor details - bathroom door didn’t close unless locked, therefore wouldn’t stay closed from the outside. Needed larger cups or mugs for tea/coffee.

Clean, great location, plenty of space, nice garden Would be nice to have some tea and a pint of milk upon arrival. Normally have those things when we stay elsewhere

Great location in the centre of town, close to everything. Lovely old house with breakfast delivered to your door. We really enjoyed our stay, The room can be a little noisy if you have people staying above you.

Unusual set up Doormat on front steps. My daughter trip on it. I take responsibility as I'd meant to put it out of the way to avoid trips, the first moment I saw it! Also even though we left the bathroom door in the downstairs bathroom open all day the damp smell wasn't very nice...

Breakfast was good quality and very nicely packaged The room was spacious and very nicely presented. The bed was very comfy. Loved the bathroom leading onto our own sun terrace. Having a safe was a good idea. It would have been nice for the bed to be made and bins emptied. I know you can request this but ( and I don’t believe Covid restrictions etc should still be a reason not to) it would be a nice thing to have as a ‘standard’.

Very cosy hotel with nice views in center of town. Beautiful terrace where we enjoyed breakfast from basket with our friends. Only thing I can remember is that there was a personal hygiene things after last guest in the shower but otherwise it was perfect and the staff was super helpful :) .

Perfect location. Staff were very hands-off, which we like. Lovely, clean room. When we wanted the room cleaned, fresh towels etc, we just had to send a request via text. We were on the ground floor and had a small outside area to enjoy. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again. This isn't a "didn't like", but perhaps more selection on the breakfast menu.

Friendly owner. Nice room and terrace. We had a little bit of outside space to ourselves which was a bonus. My own fault I didn’t read the small print but would have preferred a fully serviced hotel. This is more of a rooms arrangement.
