The Nags Head - Room only accommodations is a traditional, CAMRA approved Inn offering room only accommodations in Lyme Regis. The Inn dates back to the Victorian era and is perfectly located for amazing views over Lyme Bay. All music does end at 11.15pm and guests are asked to leave by midnight. The high street is a couple of minutes walk and the beach is a 10 minute downhill walk. All rooms are en-suite and provide towels and tea/coffee making facilities. Free WiFi is available. The Nags Head - Room only accommodations is a vibrant pub and does have live music performances most weekends. We have a large pub terrace over looking the bay which can be enjoyed by all guests. Very quiet with a beautiful view. Great location with access to town and the beach. At the top of a big hill

We needed a bed/staging are before walking the South Coast Path, this met the need. No breakfast but several places just down the road.

Nice room in a friendly pub. The view from our room was stunning - across the rooftops to the sea and the bay. A very pleasant way to walk to and from the town is to turn right outside the pub and take the first turning on the right, immediately take the footpath on the left, through the woods, down to the stream. Continue to the road, then go right across the bridge and immediately right onto another (tarmacked) path that follows the stream down to the town. Parking's not ideal, but there is some free parking further up the road. Across the road from the pub there's a two-hour restricted area which applies from 9am to 6pm. Judicious use of that could meet your needs.

Great location, the nags Head inn was a decent, historical place to stay.

No mirror in the bedroom to sid drying hair.

Saturday night live music reverberated through the whole room. Think twice if you want to get to sleep early and pub noise was loud.

Very clean, recently renovated, excellent value

Great location with friendly staff & a lovely clean comfy room with great views! Absolutely lovely after hiking in the horrible weather Some other guests dismantled the smoke detectors so they could smoke & an alarm was going off from 03:30 onwards

No breakfast available, but other options in town.

Just a short stroll up the hill from town center, The Nags head provided the perfect accommodation for my quick little trip to Lyme Regis. The room was clean and comfortable and I woke up to the most incredible view of town, the water, and the surrounding cliffs.

Quiet, Close to beach and restaurants. Bus stops nearby for day trips

Room was beautiful, nicely laid out and all facilities were great, nice and clean and amazing view! Shelves in bathroom would have been helpful and a towel rail. Someone was smoking weed in the beer garden which we could smell in the evening

Not a dislike so much as a fair warning. There is live music - which we knew about. It was a bit louder than expected but seemed to stop by 11:30 or 12:00 midnight. We still had a good nights sleep.

The public house did not offer any salads or vegetables on the menu. I would have eaten there more.

Nice little pub, the staff are super friendly. The room was really nice and has a lot of space. The balcony is massive and the view is stunning. Only down side is no towel hook/rail for hand towel or bath towel in the bathroom. But that is literally the only thing. This place is great.

Clean room with a lovely view. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Brilliant position near to the high street and beach 5/10 min walk. Liked the side entrance so you didn't have to go through the pub to get to your room. Couldn't hear anybody in the other rooms moving about in the rooms etc so must have thick walls! Got a great night's sleep. Nothing really. A shelf in the bathroom would of been good but we coped.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bar food good value. The room was comfortable and clean. Walking distance from the town. Tesco nearby. Parking during the day was a nightmare. The location being 'uphill' should not be underestimated: only the fit would want to walk up and down to the seafront several times a day. The main issue was the lack of internet connection (seemingly due to the heat and too many people!?) and the noise as the room was at the front, with considerable traffic and passerby noise, including a bottle-collecting truck at 4am.

Nice room with views of Lyme Regis It was quite a steep climb up to the Inn which was tiring after a long day. There is not much facilities around the Inn since it is located in a residential area. The menu was limited so we had to go down to the town centre to grab dinner. There is also no breakfast. Fortunately it was not too loud but it can be since the rooms are directly above the pub.

the rooms was really cute and cosy. think there had been a fairly recent refurbishment on the rooms. we also had a drink in the bar, the staff were very friendly which was nice. unfortunately no car park and due to Lyme Regis having very steep hills, it is a very big struggle to walk from the nearest car park to the pub.

  • Engine customer Feb 2025

Great location with friendly staff and a nice sea view. Despite being in the pub the noise was minimal and not disruptive. The room covers all the basics and is very simple. It worked for me, but if you are someone who likes the comfort and extras this does not have it. Rooms are close together so you can expect noise from others staying in the rooms.
