Best Western Plus Madison-Huntsville Hotel

Please beware of this place. It was absolutely disgusting and very disappointing. Upon walking in there was a strong smell of cigarettes. The bathroom vanity light didn’t work. When I walked into the bathroom there was dirty toilet paper on the ground. There was also mold on the curtains. We decided we would go out to the pool and it looked like it had not been touched in weeks, maybe even months. The hot tub was in the same condition with caution tape around it. Aside from all that, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast wasn’t terrible. I am also not a hard person to please but this was beyond awful. (See photos)

Our room smelled like animal urine upon arrival. Being very tired we just got febreeze the next day. We were counting on the pool as advertised on here. Our daughter is 4 and was so excited to swim. We are visiting a family friend and this was our vacation so disappointed that the pool looks like the DC reflecting pool with caution tape on the hot tub. Truly disappointed. Will not use best western again. Also mold in bathroom. Very very bummed. Bright side: nice staff at breakfast.

But I specifically asked for a hotel that had hot tub and a pool so we can relax. Yes this hotel had hot tub and yes, it had a pool, but it wasn’t working. I called a few days prior and whoever answered for guest services told me that everything was working fine the hot tub had black mold in it a stench it was just horrific, and the pool looked like it had not been cleaned in years with algae and other stuff growing in it. I’m assuming they have changed management because it was just so so sad I will give them some credit. The breakfast was good, but my whole purpose was to enjoy it chill by the pool side. We just had a massive heat dome that started with the temperature at 91° and we just wanted to relax and couldn’t do that either I don’t know what happened, but the service was extremely lousy Other guests at the hotel were just as surprise as we were

The hot tub is unuseable, green and caution taped off. The pool had algae in it. It's disgusting.

Will NEVER STAY AT BEST WESTERN PLUS AGAIN!!!!

The pool looks beautiful in pictures, mold around edges with tiles falling off is the reality. Hot tub was green soup with caution tape. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was great.

We traveled from Florida all day prior to check in. The front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly in any way. In fact, there was very little conversation at all. I was so disappointed because our experience in April with check in was the complete opposite. The pool still looked dirty and the hot tub was still taped off so no work had been done there to resolve it since our stay the week before on our way to Florida. I would still recommend this hotel based on location, parking, cleanliness and the breakfast, so we'll see how things are when we stay again in September.

Amazing breakfast, amazing staff,and an amazing stay

Clean and great service

We've stayed before and have no issues with the room at all. The bed is really comfortable! The room was very clean. My grandson and daughter wanted to use the pool and it was really dirty with lots of leaves and algae. The hot tub was green and blocked off from use. Not really a deal breaker though. The breakfast the next morning was great with lots of variety!

The first night that I got there, the lady was exceptionally nice and very helpful. The rest of the time I was there the staff was very indifferent rude unfriendly the coffee pot in the lobby didn’t work. There really wasn’t a nice selection of food choices. The pool was green. The hot tub did not work. My room smelled very badly of urine. I told two different people at the front desk about it and it was oh sorry And there was a leak. The hallway was soaked with water and it came into my room a little bit when I said something I was told they’re working on it. I will not stay here again. This was just all the way around a terrible trip. I guess you get what you pay for.

The pool is falling apart and dirty. It literally had tiles on the bottom of the pool along with algae on the side. The hot tub is closed and it covered in green algae. The area around the pool had garbage and broken umbrellas, etc. The inside of the hotel smelled like dogs terribly. I had to go out and get a room freshener just to be able to stay there. They had to give me a different room because the TV was not working in the first room and the maintenance man said that he has to fix the TVs all the time. The free breakfast buffet was always dirty. There was spilled waffle mix, a dead fly in the holder for the coffee cup lids, and the tables were not well cleaned. Definitely not clean at all. Would not stay there again.

Staff was very nice and friendly Did not have breakfast, so no comment Parking was fine

The building is clean and the amenities were great. The bed was very comfortable and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.
