The staff were very kind and welcoming. Even on the first night they were offering to spend time with them to watch the World Cup at the time & always of service with any inconvenience.

good location. close to plaza mayor and there’s a carrefour express right in front. staff are as super sweet and helpful.

Friendly, helpful, kind staff available 24/7. Excellent costumer service! Felt safe and comfortable. The Hat Madrid is in a great location within walking distance to major tourist attractions. Nice that daily tours of the area started in the lobby. The Hat Madrid provided many fun social opportunities. I liked being able to make some of my own meals in the downstair's Cave. Met many wonderful people and had many delightful conversations. Stayed in 6 bed female dorm and had respectful interesting women roommates from many parts of the world. I appreciated the comfortable beds with privacy curtains, individual lights and plug ins for phones and chargers. Shared bathroom worked out fine. Cleaning staff came into the room each day and worked very hard. I stayed for 5 nights at the beginning of my trip and 4 nights at end of my month long trip to Spain. It was my first time in Madrid and there was so much to see and do and I wish I could have stayed longer. There were many places to eat and drink in the area and it seemed perfectly safe to walk around late at night. Dorm rooms small and sparsly furnished, cement floors. Price for bunk bed in dorm seemed high over 100 Europer per night for an individual.

The noise

Amazing staff Bathrooms and toilets are pretty cramped - it’s just a bit underwhelming. shower soap canisters empty, but not sure if they don’t provide soap or just didn’t fill it up for 3 days. My room at least - room 13 - had very creaky door - which caused a lot of unnecessary noise for the up to 8 people sharing the room.

clean and well arranged hostel. walking distance to many landmarks and the hostel has so many activities as walking tour + sangria workshop that will allow solo travelers to meet new people. I love it.

The helpful and friendly staff, the warm environment, the comfortable bed, and the rooftop bar!

It was in a great location. I liked the kitchen facilities and the breakfast. All the doors slam and it goes on all night with the shared bathroom in the hallway and people coming in late.

Great facility and great location Unfortunately, I had a handbag and a pair of sunglasses stolen from my bags. After checking out, I left my two locked suitcases in the designated storage room, trusting that they would be safe while I waited for my flight. Everything was completely in order when I packed. It wasn't until I arrived home that I realized someone at the hotel had gone through my personal belongings during the five hours they were left in the storage room. I trusted the hotel's security, only to find these valuable items missing from my bag.

The property felt very well taken care of and the staff was excellent. I loved the room, and the beds were super comfortable. I always felt clean and very safe. I also loved the rooftop bar and all of the opportunities to make friends. The Hat made my trip special and was a highlight! Nothing!

Central location and helpful staff. Great space in lower level to prepare your own food and grocery store 2 mins from the hostal. Not crazy about having the sink in the main dorm area instead of as part of bathroom/shower space. Little pricey for dorm rooms.

The hostel was awesome. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was friendly. The shower and toilet facilities worked well and they were always clean. The location is central, very close to one of the central squares, with a market right next door. The breakfast was also good.

In a dorm with lots of space and facilities. Breakfast was great, and the place is located within walking distance to lots of places.
-
Location, staff, cleanliness and breakfast. Poor shower setup (no shelves, no privacy-awkward to keep change of clothes and towel nearby when showering).
-
Top floor restaurant n bar always too crowded
-
Walls need to be repaint, specific the stairs

Very near Plaza Major, awesome breakfast, real cotton sheets and pillowcases, organized activities for guests. Nice rooftop lounge on the 5th floor, but they let people in who are not staying at the hostal, so there is a constant stream of street people in and out of the hostal. Big security issue. Sometimes, guests staying at the hostal are not allowed in the rooftop deck, as it has been rented out.

Super clean, well located hostel. Staff was really friendly!

Location location location and the friendly staff at reception! The second room I had (for 6 bed female) had a pretty cramped shower. On our last night, we couldn’t get the air conditioner to work and it was just blowing heat.

The location, the kindness of the staff and it’s a good value for money place. The breakfast is very repetitive
