very well located, one step from Gran Via and several important metro and bus stops. Kind staff. the room was a little smaller than I expected, and it could have a power outlet next to the table.

The location was great near many shopping malls and good restaurants. One of the member of staff a lady from Brazil was very warm and lovely to talk to. I stayed at room 114, for the price I paid it was not worth it. The room was tiny with no A/C only a fan that did not cool the room well. It was like staying in a furnace. On the second night of my stay I released that the door's lock was broken, upon contacting the gentleman who was on duty that evening, he was drunk and very unhelpful. He insisted that since the property has CCTV it was okay for me as a solo female traveller to stay in a room with a broken lock. It is only when I requested to speak to management that he agreed to give me another room with a working lock. What a shame!

Fantastic location, good for a couple of nights. The shower door fell apart, you can hear the noise from other guests. But the location compensates for everything.

The lighting in the bedroom was not good. No lampshades on lamps, very harsh bright lighting

The deodorant or cleaning liquid used here is unbreathable, it too strong, caused me headache and I could not even sleep because of the smell.

LOCATION, very near to everything you want to see in Madrid, walking distance to many areas, easy to access and transportation is not a problem. You step out and you are already in the main street On arrival, we went directly to the Hostal, knowing that the room was not ready, just to check for the option to drop our bags, the host was a bit rude in the way to speak to clients already with reservations, maybe is the way of Spanish people ? we ask for the option of early check in, and was one way to say not, was the polite and friendly way, maybe with a fake smile, maybe difficult to explain on text, but simple was not the way you wanted to be welcome on a place you are paying to stay. You need to work on on how to treat your costumers.

Hotel is in a good location and it was clean My room door would not lock, and when reported to the hotel, they never fixed it. The latch mechanism did not work correctly. If you pushed hard on the door, it would open. As with many European hotels, the place is a fire hazard. My room was at the end of a long hallway with no exit. Should a fire have happened.

The location was great, less than a block away from Gran Via , many stores , bars and restaurants around. Room was small and simple, but is just for sleeping and shower. Very clean and quiet. Communication was great. It didn’t have air conditioning, but we new about it when we booked it. It was extremely hot even with the fan on.

The room was not like the ones in the images, nothing fancy. Washbasin was in the room. We only had one panel window looking at the small courtyard.

There was a bit of noise but it was to be expected. And you can't get upset about people enjoying themselves.

There was no air conditioning; the rooms were extremely hot. There was no trash bin outside the bathroom. The shower was too small and falling apart, and the beds were not very comfortable.

Honestly, I didn’t like any thing about this property!! It was my worst experience ever!!! It was just a corridor of 6m2 with no place to move, the bathroom was not clean with flies inside. The place was very noisy and the best of all, there was no air conditioning at 35 Deg outside!!! A place to avoid, I don’t recommend this establishment to any one.

Great base for exploring central Madrid, La Fontana is quiet enough to get some sleep, too! Friendly, welcoming staff, and cozy, comfortable rooms. The space is well laid out with a washbasin, desk, and a comfortable bed. The shared bathroom is just next door and spotlessly clean. I really liked staying here, perfect for a short city break.
