Grand Via House

Excellent location in the center of the city. Cozy and clean apartment. Host was very attentive giving us option to leave luggage in apartment before check in hour during cleaning.

THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SIGN AT THE STREET!!!!! NO HOTEL NAME ON THE DOORBELL! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO CALL!!! Standing in the street and there is no hotel sign or dedicated entrance, you are completely lost. I guess because of tax issues: this is a former normal residence apartment and was later converted to a "youth hostel". You are checking in into a large appartment, that has been splitt into seperate rooms. Tax savings I would guess. Just avoid that place, it seems to be a very dubious setting. Why would a hotel not even put its name on the doorbell?

Very good location, right in the center. Big, confortable bed.

It was very noisy,not just from the street but from people in other rooms. The doorbell was rung several times at 3 AM in one of the nights. These are rooms inside of an apartment, the door to the room didn't feel like the safest thing. We didn't have access to the shared kitchen.

Room smelled, no view

Super clean and comfortable. Located right in the center of the grand Villa, close to the metro and lots of shopping and restaurants. Love the property no complaints whatsoever

Location was the best! Unable to find the location of this room. It took more than 30 min to get in touch with the Owner. Walls were not clean. Hair in drawers

The described space is a room within an apartment located in a building of considerable age. The building's elevator, dating from the 1930s, is notably compact.

Customers are not allowed to use laundry machines

The bed was comfortable. The size of the space was okay, though the only chairs were two plastic dining chairs that did not fit under the card table-like dining table. Suite with unequipped kitchen. Kitchen equipment consisted of one pot, one frying pan, both old and poor quality. Cutlery for 2, one setting each. Three glasses, no coffee cups. No coffee maker. Very few cooking utensils, maybe three. No dishcloth or tea towel. Nothing else in the kitchen than what I’ve mentioned. Stove unplugged, we did not try it. Bathroom hot water turned off under the sink because tap leaks quite badly. Towels not great. Someone let us in. We were told the place was only attended 11 am to 11 pm, but we never saw anyone during the day. We texted to ask if they would reserve us an airport taxi, were told no. That’s a small service any other place would happily provide.

Great location and right in the heart of Madrid. Big room with a cute little balcony & a beautiful ceiling. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Lovely authentic Spanish building, hallways & lift. I would stay here again. The noise could be an issue for some but I wore ear plugs. The last night was a struggle as the people in the room next door were very loud and the noise went on until 2am. The floor must not have been mopped/wiped before I arrived because within 30mins of unpacking and walking around the room... my socks where black underneath. Everything else was very clean.

The room was very spacious and clean. Andres was a great host.
