I had a wonderful stay at Herald Suites Polaris. I especially loved the room, which was comfortable, relaxing, and beautifully maintained. The Art Deco aesthetic throughout the hotel gave it a unique charm and elegance that made the experience feel special. Combined with the excellent location in the heart of Poblacion and the warm hospitality of the staff, it was a stay I thoroughly enjoyed and would gladly repeat.

Historical Was told it was wheelchair accessible, but wasn’t and that our room would be on ground floor, which it wasn’t.

The staff. Everyone is helpful, nice & friendly. They make me feel at home. No handle to go to the bath tub.

The hotel is located near stores, restaurants and a shopping mall. The room was spacious. The hotel was able to arrange airport pickup and dropoff, and arrange a taxi for me to do some sightseeing. The hotel was helpful let me checkout late for a small fee. The first night I couldn't get any sleep as my room was near the street and the motorcycles and scooters made a lot of noise till early morning and ruined my plans for the next day. The next night I was able to switch to a room away from the street and get a good night's sleep. There were cockroaches in the room, which might have come in through the shower drain. The bath towels were worn out. The wifi didn't work most of the time. The TV didn't work on the first room, but worked in the second room. The breakfast was not much for a vegetarian. For the airport pickup, I was told to look for a particular car with a specific license plate. So, I was looking for that car, which didn't arrive. Then after 30 minutes of waiting, I found the driver holding a sign with my name near the arrival door but with the car parked in the parking lot. The hotel could have said look for someone holding a sign with your name at the arrival door and saved me some frustration! The hotel could improve by addressing these things.

Location - just at the back of Makati and Buendia Avenue so there are many dining options which are open 24/7. It felt safe walking back to the hotel in the middle of the night after watching a concert. Breakfast: I love that they have Filipino breakfast that included arroz caldo. If you run out of drinking water, they will refill your water tumbler. This is near the red light district but it was so quiet in my room, I slept soundly. Room temperature was also comfortable. I like that the A/C has auto settings and turns down the temp to prevent it from getting too cold. Just the intermittent internet connection. I don't usually watch TV, but I listen to podcasts and it can be bothersome if the stream gets cut in the middle of you listening to it.

1-The AC stopped working in the middle of the night, no cool air, seems like the freon ran out. I did not call for a repair because I was in the middle of my sleep. Given that I have insomnia and could easily lose my sleep, I did not want to stay awake while the AC was being repaired, as I had an early start the next day. Basic maintenance should include inspection of important appliances like this. 2-The breakfast portion could have been better; coffee should have been brewed with free refills. 3-The design of the bathtub was that while showering, water accumulates on the sides of the tub and spills on the floor.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The room was extremely spacious. The bed was firm and comfortable. It was quite luxurious in a faded way. The area was fun to walk around with a lot of interesting night spots as well as street stalls. There were sachets of sugar in the room, but no tea or coffee, though they gave me 2 tea bags when I asked. The wifi didn't work, though a staff member came and found a way in the end.. The TV wouldn't turn off properly and gave off light all night.
