You can see that the hotel USED to be 5 stars hotel but it is about 2/3 stars now with the size of 5 stars. The staff is amazing... Really great. Trying to help as much as they can. Huge Huge staff and so friendly.. Really good! Nice rooms, Although the are old (shower looks old and AC is old type) very comfortable bed and i have a nice table and chairs and wardrobe... Was good and clean. Close to PRA (7 minutes walk) and to Nice Makati. There is one of the coolest restaurants i even need in just across the street called filling station, so beautiful, it looks like a 50 American diner but with so many rooms and so many items... it is a must to visit and the food for my taste was really good.. I ate there few time... very cool place! The room was very nice and comfortable, The Area is loud, and i was in the 7th floor (I think there are 20 something floors) maybe if i was in a higher floor it would have beed quieter but in the 7th floor you can hear the street. Again, You can see that the hotel USED to be 5 stars hotel but it is about 2/3 stars now with the size of 5 stars. As i told my Mother over the phone, "It is not for you, but for me it is OK" Used to have restaurant but it is closed. Swimming pool is open until 7 but there are no lights so to need to call someone to open the lights for you, They have a "GYM" But it is all broken so i wouldn't publish it as a Gym!!! Ceilings dropping water and the carpets as soaked. It looks like the place is braking down and they just don't have the funds to fix it (Will cost millions to fix it.. it is huge) It is located where all the "Night life" is and that didn't work for me, I didn't look for Night life and people that wanted to sell me Viagra and Girls of all kind asking if i "Want Massage" and more suggestions, If i knew that i wouldn't go there. But it is really not their fault, I'm guessing that the prostitutes came after the hotel and maybe that is the reason for why it look like that. One thing i didn't like about the room, AC does not have remote!!! Again, It looks like an old hotel that the owner don't have the money to fix so this is one of those things.

Nothing The room smelled of damp, the sofas were old and dirty, the carpets were dirty, the elevators were abnormal, the pool was cold. The sports equipment was all old and worn out and unusable.

The location is great for single guys but not recommended for families. I was approached by many people looking to make friends and taxi drivers willing to give me a ride and overcharge me. The hotel does not have a restaurant but, it is close to restaurants and live entertainment on the outside. If you're looking for nighttime company there is plenty of it outside the door. The hotel room has a musty spell from years of neglect.

Good location Property beaten down. Renovated rooms are ok. I requested but did not get. Old rooms are as clean as you can clean I guess. Old carpet is gross. One elevator not working

I like the determination and spirit of the staff. That staff really works hard as a team and you can feel and see on them that they are working and struggling hard to maintaining that place being as a professional hotel. They are taking care who enters in the hotel, they are aware if someone makes noise ( i was self getting observation that i should not make so big noise on the corridor/ and that kind of thing i like it and i respect it when someone go up to maintain a peacefully and quiet place for everybody. They take care about some small things but very important. I was checking in this hotel after i was leaving out and had a bad experience with another hotel across the street Makati Oxford Hotel because they didn’t make my room . I like the architecture of the place, the paintings and the art in the hotel are very impressive, i love art, im a art collector and i really enjoy the art and the architecture of the place. If hope they will maintain on this direction Tv was horrible experience. I didn’t like that my first room i get i did have a problem with Television i need to run cartoons movie for my kid. After 5 -10 minutes of watching it was just simply hanging out. I was called the staff and they come and fixed….1 time…..2 time……3 time…..4 time and then got fired/frustrated/ angry and i requested to move another , then we moved to another room. I don’t understand why they give me a room with a defect TV cable and still come back and forward trying to “fix “ something what is broken anyway and seems like they did know about it . The fitness gym it’s inexistent, I mean the fitness center you cannot call that place a gym or a fitness. No disks, no weights , just a few machines but no weights for training

this is my first time to check in at this hotel. It feels like a second home for me. I love that the staffs are very warm and welcoming. The room is cozy and comfy. Also, what I like here is, it is accessible to the places that we want to go to within manila. I will definitely come back here on my next vacation. I will surely recommend Makati Palace to my friends.
