It was a great experience staying at dormitory room. Thankfully my roommates are nice and respectful - nothing weird. The bathrooms are clean and the hot shower worked well. Located near pasar klojen and train station. Breakfast menu was mostly western style, so i had to look for breakfast elsewhere. No towel rack to hang my wet towel after showering. Some of the guest hung it next to bed in dormitory room

We stayed in this cute hostel on the very first day of our anniversary indonesia tour. Shelter Hostel made our anniversary night truly special!! They arranged the cutest decor in our room for free! As it was our 5th year anniversary, they decorated with 5 beautiful candles. How thoughtful is that! I really loved their aesthetic, interior design, hostel atmosphere. The toilet and amenities were super clean. They even arranged a very check out without any hastle. I highly recommend this hostel.

I only had one night here but it was a perfect stopover. The bunks are spacious (however a bit warm) and facilities are clean. The location is great — close enough to walk to the flower market, Jodipan, and Kajoetangan Heritage Village. A special thanks to Figi for going above and beyond to help me locate a new camera battery very last minute

One of our favorite hostels on our travel. We booked a private room and it was so cute. Its nothing luxorious and its according to the price, but the bed on top level with a window to see the stars was amazing and cozy.

Shower room was clean but you can tell the facility can do some renew

Super clean, comfortable and friendly staff. We stayed in the private room and the photos don’t do this place justice. It was perfect and the shared bathrooms is right next to the room, with only 2 other rooms using it. Nothing

This is a fantastic hostel. The location is great, very close to a train station and some eateries. The staff is super nice and helpful. Everything is perfectly clean. The design is interesting and thought-out. They also organise trips to Bromo, Ijen, Tempak Sewu etc. We took the Bromo sunrise one, and it went very smoothly, the driver was really great (which is important for this kind of trips). Do not hesitate to book a private room here.

Unbearably hot in the room at night, AC was very weak

This is absolutely one of my favourite hostels that I’ve stayed at in the past four months. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful, the facilities lack for nothing, the food they prepare is amazing, and overall, I felt totally at home here. The Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty ?

- cosy room with AC with additional cost of 25k/day - amazing staff available any time providing good advices and helping us to organize our trip by train to banyuwangi - shared bathroom and toilets sparkling clean - good food - nice atmosphere in the lobby to rest and eat - amazing price for the quality of service - nothing

Excellent and polite staff - they play music in the evening, Cleanliness, Great Cafe - Spaghetti with Chickpeas was amazing We had the room with a fan only but there should have been better ventilation in it. We upgraded to the room with AC on the last day which was great. Bathroom needs the drains to be cleaned frequently. We faced water logging everyday.

I think this hotel is very good, the staff is very enthusiastic, we stayed here for three days, two people lived on the fourth floor, although there is no stairs, and we arrived at the hotel at midnight on the first day, the staff was waiting for us to check in and help us carry our luggage up. The environment of the hotel is very clean, the toilet and shower area are very clean, and the room is also a clean loft. I didn't expect to have a very good experience at such a price. There is a cafe on the second floor, and you can also order food. The vegetable stew is delicious and I recommend it. There is a travel agency on the first floor. Those who want to join a tour group can also consider joining a group here. In short, this is really a very good hotel. There is nothing wrong with it. It may just be that the stairs are very high and it is a bit difficult for girls to carry luggage, but the staff will help you.

Great stay in the private room! Staff was friendly and helpful. Food at the hostel was absolutely delicious, we ate there every day! Bathrooms were always clean. We had to pay a little extra for aircon in the room but no big deal.

Good Time

Bed are comfy, staff were so helpful and friendly unfortunately they only provide 1 fan on the roof, and 1 on the floor which is kinda hot especially with capacity of more than 4-6 people on the room

I’m not sure why this place has so many good reviews - the room smelt so bad & moldy. The whole place is very run down. Worst part was that I actually got bed bugs from my night. I couldn’t sleep during the night because I felt like bugs were biting me. I woke up with many red, big, itchy bites and I thought they were mosquitos at first. But asking other people at the hostel, nobody else got bitten so I googled bed bugs and my symptoms matched the description. Also when I first checked in, I noticed some orange shell-like things on the bed but didn’t realize until after I googled bed bugs that they were probably the shells of the bugs… I told the staff about it and not only did they NOT apologize, they told me they didn’t believe me?!??! They thought I was making this up and even insisted that I brought the bed bugs with me from my previous stay. Worst hostel stay and hospitality wow. I told them they needed to get someone professional to inspect it and they literally brushed me off.

No A/C made it hard to sleep
