Braekfast arrangement is fabulous, location is great, room is good, reception area mediocre WIFI not good enough

We spent almost a week in the suite (room 101), and it was probably the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. It was so comfortable, the staff were absolutely brilliant, and the location was perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the atmosphere of old town while being five minutes from the beach. The hotel is right beside the best old town restaurants but on a quite church square; the best of both worlds. The breakfast is great too - the rave reviews aren’t exaggerating!

Boutique Hotel La Ciudadela Marbella was absolutely gorgeous, and the location could not have been better. The rooms are elegant and modern, yet still very comfortable and welcoming. Looking out our windows onto the flowering trees felt like being in a fairytale. We could not have been more pleased. We did not want to leave! As a family of five, we booked two rooms, and the hotel was able to accommodate us by placing them directly across from each other. Much appreciated!

Beautifully decorated hotel located in the center of the town. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, absolutely recommended for a short stay in Marbella!

I LOVE the area, it's picturesque. The staff was super friendly, check in was easy. The room was adorable, had a coffee machine, and the shower was really nice. Such a beautiful, magical experience in Marbella! Everything was perfect.

The hotel is perfectly located in the old town. It is on a beautiful street and within a few minutes walk from the town's square. The staff were very helpful and friendly, we were always greeted with a smile. The hotel is very clean, beds were comfortable, and bedlinen was beautiful. The rooftop deck and bar was closed given the time of year (October), however, we were not aware of this when making the booking on Booking.com. The staff allowed us to access the rooftop deck to sit outside as the weather was perfect and there was no other location in the hotel where you could sit outside, in addition, our hotel room had no balcony or external window. Breakfast was not served in the hotel (possibly due to our off-season visit) and while we were directed to a nearby hotel that served breakfast, I would have appreciated it as an option in our own hotel. We had ants in our bathroom, but the staff efficiently addressed this issue when we brought it to their attention. I would imagine that the hotel could be noisy during peak season as more rooms in the hotel were occupied on our last night and we awoke to a lot of noise as they returned to their rooms during the night. Recommendations for the hotel: include bathrobes in bathrooms, improve lighting in bathrooms, bathrooms would benefit from more hooks for hanging clothes.

Perfect location right in the old center. Near everything, coffee shops restaurants. Spanish arhitecture, nice inner courtyard. Big bathroom with huge shower and double sink. We loved it. Very nice touch with the ghd hairdryer and straightner We payed for a room with city view but we got one with view to the inner courtyard so no windows only the light from the entrance. We had to pay extra for an upgrade to a suite!

Great location, hotel is in middle of everything, very lively streets around, you won’t be bored. But don’t stay here if you are planning on going to sleep at 10pm, as there are crowds on the streets and it is loud - I did like that part of it, but some may not. New hotel great design. Very very Clean!!! Candles lit up everywhere in the evening, beautiful scent. Givenchy toiletries, Hermes soap. Great bed honestly, great pillows. But no duvet, only thin sheet to cover yourself up, I was a bit cold - no blankets… See through bathroom door….. I really don’t understand this concept and so many hotels started to do it… I was there with my best friend, but I cannot imagine being there on first romantic gateway with a new partner… Staff doesn’t speak English very well, they don’t even try to translate on google or anything… I came back and I still don’t know if hotel serves breakfast if there is a bar and what are the facilities they offer… I just felt I couldn’t make the best out of my stay - I was sent to my room and that’s it. It would be nice if they prepared a little leaflet with all the important information.

location was excellent,receptionists were very nice,room was clean and tidy 1)when on arrival no reception from any staff (although there seemed to be none)ie glass of cava ,no staff to carry bags to room (when you are paying £400 a night you do expect some sort of service. 2)room was a deluxe room which was small and dark with a balcony over next doors roof which looked like junk yard yard. also no sun on balcony. 3)no one come along to explain any switches or air conditioning controls. 4)wardrobe was small. 5)no bath robes. 6)bed was very small for the price it felt like the smallest double bed they could get to get the room to look bigger.also only one sheet on the bedding. 7)roof terrace bar shut down i was told due to no staff 8)no breakfast area open was told to eat in hotel opposite which i must say was really good if only i had stayed there. 9)so called bar area downstairs was like a cave no light at all with no staff in there or anyone else that was in the hotel.
