Lovely house in the old town of Mardin, close to everything, very friendly staff and fantastic breakfast, with lots of organic food. Room was absolutely stunning.
-
The smell of humidity from the walls in some rooms and the smell of sewage from the bathroom in other. One of the three rooms we had was small and dark.
-
Breakfast was legendary. It is worth staying here just for breakfast.

Well located, good breakfast. Staff didn't share complicated parking details until we were caught in terrible traffic in town. It took over an hour to locate the car park. Also no hot water.

Helpful team, clean, and comfortable close center town

The property is ideally located for exploring the old city of Mardin. İt is a stone building and very picturesque with a terrace that has a magnificent view of the vast plains of the Mardin area. I went in winter and the weather was against me. A two-day snowstorm snowed us in but hotel staff made sure staircases and landings were kept snow and ice free. They also ensured we all enjoyed meals beyond the usual “breakfast included plan”.

If you have made it all the way to Mardin you will certainly love staying at Carra Conaği. It is right in the middle of the old town so is in walking distance of much of what you've come to see. Plenty of restaurants and cafes close by. A fabulous breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Plains of Mesopotamia in one direction and the old city with its spires and minarets in the other. Great wifi, spacious bathroom, and a huge, comfortable bed. It's down a little lane off the main road. Nevertheless, the staff are happy to organise small taxis to pick you up for outings further afield.

You could never meet better people than the staff in the hotel, Ismael, Isra and Mohamed were among the best people I’ve ever met and incredibly helpful, you feel like they are family, but the hotel furniture is very outdated, electricity goes out often which leaves you with no wifi or hot water, we stayed there 3 days , we were unable to shower because we never had hot water in the morning, the mold in the bathroom was horrendous, you cannot breath in the bathroom from the smell of the black mold although we left the window open 24hours a day in freezing temperatures. We miss the staff dearly but we were so happy to leave the hotel . This place needs major work and is not worth the money, I wouldn’t want to stay there not even for free. Their bathrooms are the absolute worst.

this hotel is very generous. the staff are amazing and accomodating, with some very nice touches like bringing tea on the terrace (which is a great place to hang at night!) and doing laundry on the house. The rooms are nicely apportioned and the location is fantastic. Parking is available on the street (very narrow drive though) and they'll help you find it. overall, it's one of our highlight stay in Mardin!

It is a historic property and is very well located. The breakfast was lovely. The staff was very kind The bathroom pipes stank and the room smelled of cat pee as did the hall. It was tough on us because my husband is allergic to cats—so just a word to the wise. It is a pension and the staff is very sweet but if you are on a tight schedule please let them know because they can be slow

Breakfast on the roof terrace plentiful with hot egg and plenty of tea. They moved the extra furniture from our room. Killer view from room. Room huge and handsome. Attentive staff even offered to walk our luggage to otopark. Nothing.

Clean and comfortable room in the heart of Old Town. Easy to walk to tourist sites. Near wonderful restaurants and bakeries. Hot and sunny for breakfast on the terrace. Hotel should consider investing in sun shades. Very difficult and stressful to find parking, even with the hotel staff assistance. Avoid bringing a rental car into Mardin, if you can. We should have returned the rental car to the airport prior to check in, and taken a taxi.

Everything was perfect! The location is in the heart of Mardin. The room had a nice view to the plain. I enjoyed a king-size bed. The bathroom had both a tub and a shower. Pick what you want :-)! They serve you rich and delicious Turkish breakfast on the top terrace with 360 degrees view! Staff was very polite and helpful. So my stay here exceeded my expectations! Next time this property will be my choice again! Nix.

What stands out the most is the hospitality of the staff, especially Ismail and Zeyn. They were always present to help me out - at check-in, late at night, early in the morning, and even at breakfast. They were so easy to talk to and went out of their ways to make my stay pleasant, which I really appreciated! As for the hotel itself, I really liked the location (central but off the noisy main street) and the terrace. Unlike most hotels in Mardin, the space was not used for a restaurant nor a cafe but only for guests to relax, which means that I could go up there anytime to enjoy the view and chill. I liked that a lot. The facility itself did have some flows such as the sewage-like smell in the bathroom that spread out to the dark small hotel room, but the overall positives definitely outweighed the negatives! For that reason, I think the hotel owner has something to thank for to his staff because they were actually the one that made my stay memorable.

Great location off the main one way street which was very busy on the Sunday we arrived. Ismail the receptionist and Jack of all trades was exceptionally helpful. Definitely the go to guy. Super breakfast with a view from the terrace Not directly the responsibility of the hotel but watch the taxis in regard to price and how far and where they are taking you.

My stay at Carra Konaği was nothing short of amazing. From the pickup at the airport by my driver who stopped on the way to take me to a really cool local restaurant for dinner because I was so hungry. To the warm and friendly faces greeting me on arrival at the hotel. My beautiful room with a stunning view of Mardin was such an unexpected and welcome surprise. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace the next morning was an even bigger surprise. There is no breakfast like a Turkish breakfast. It’s truly so special. And the view - simply magnificent! You may even find yourself with some cutie cats for company. But that’s all part of the charm of traveling in Türkiye. My guide for the day around Mardin/Midyat was so kind, patient and friendly. I felt like I was traveling with a friend and that we had known each other for a long time. A late night coffee shop visit to listen to some live music with locals. A walk all around town, discovering all the hidden gems of Mardin. These are all such incredible and special experiences that I will treasure for life. As a solo female traveler I can confidently say that I have never felt more safe and cared for. Ismail, Zeyn, Öznur, Mehmet, Esat thank you for making my stay in Mardin truly one of a kind. I cannot wait to be back for a visit. Yakında tekrar görüşürüz İyi ki varsınız

Old town center Smell of old House. Very small room. Construction noise of hotel extension. Loud music from the restaurant across the street until 23:30.
