Riad Houma

Perfect location in a quite medina secrion to start your Marrakesh exploration trips. The property itself provides everything you need (even those you didn’t know to require….). Roof top experience is literally top of everything! None. It was perfect.

Going inside from the street is truly like arriving at an Oasis. We were welcomed by Ghizlane who provided us Moroccan tea and cookies, while Wissam took our bags to our room. Ghizlane provided us a map and explained the sights and places we should visit. The room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. We ate dinner at the Riad our first night, and it was one of our favorite meals during our visit. The crown jewel of this place is the night shift man Mourad. During our visit he was working 9pm - 9am and he was one of the best humans we've had the pleasure of meeting. Mourad lent us his own money out of his wallet, in no small amount, when we hadn't been able to successfully use an ATM before our morning tour. He also prepared breakfast for us multiple times during our stay when we had activities that had us out of the Riad before the chef arrived in the mornings. Additionally, he offered to purchase items we wanted for us, so we wouldn't end up over paying as tourists. Finally, he taught us how to make Moroccan tea. I will never forget Mourad's kindness and I wish him the very best in life. The shower water heat was inconsistent, going from nice -> too hot -> nice -> cold -> nice .... Etc

Clean room, good location, quiet surroundings, very friendly, helpful staff The room doesn’t have great sound proof, open air with the bathroom and you can hear next door and hall way noise very clearly

Staff was lovely. They accommodated our special request for obtaining a tour special tour guide for us. They were gracious hosts all during our stay. The location was very convenient and accessible to walk to all parts of the Medina. I thought that eating breakfast around the ground floor table was uncomfortable. I would have preferred having it at the table up on the roof. And, why was there a pool of water in the lobby?

We liked the cleanliness of the hotel/riad and the location coz it's just few mins walk to the main road, close to the shops, medina square and atm machines. The roof top is also a good place to hangout when you want to relax and don't want to go out. The staff were so nice and did an excellent service especially Morad who was really very helpful. He even helped me find those local coffee, seasonings, and tea that I brought back home. Also, we appreciate Melita, Mohammed, and Fatima for being nice and for all the assistance/help that they've provided to us during our stay, and the housekeeping staff who were always smiling which adds to the pleasant atmosphere of the riad. Their hospitality is truly remarkable. They made our stay comfortable and memorable. Thank you? We had an issue with the aircondition because the temperature wasn't cold enough on the first night of our stay, but it wasn't really bad during our 2nd night. Another one is the toilet coz it only has a curtain and has no door that we could lock it, and its wall that divides the shower room and the bedroom is just halfway to the ceiling. The room is a bit small, so if you have 4 pcs of luggage, it's kinda difficult to move around or get something from your luggage. Better have 2 pcs of luggage only so you could have enough space. But I guess it is the usual size for the riad rooms. But despite of those small issues, we had a great time at Riad Houma.

Such a charming Riad and with the best possible staff to take care of all our needs Both Mohammed Amin and Murad catered to our every need. Mohammed Amin even went out of his way to secure some unique artifacts and hard to find reservations at restaurants . Every restaurant they recommended was fabulous. Both of them made us feel at home away from home. I would give both 10/10!

The location is great. Close to many attractions. The breakfast was nice. The staff is great. Especially, Mohamed and Mourad helped us a lot with every single demand. Overall, it is a great Riad to stay. Note: We were with the car and there is a very close parking place close by, which is difficult to find in the area. However, be careful with the fee. They ripped us off. It should be MAD 50 per night. However, they tried to charge us MAD 120 per night. We had 2 sleepless nights during our 3 night stay because of a very disrespectful woman staying next door. Of course this is not the fault of the facility. However, it is a fact that the rooms are not very sound proof.

The staff was super nice and attentive, very helpful. Also assisted us in arranging hammam and taxi ride. The Riad is very nice and great location - close to center but not too noisy. Room is nice size, enough space for 2 people comfort In the room, the toilet and bathroom are open space with the sleeping area.

The staff were very attentive and so helpful. The breakfast was excellent and always served with a happy face. The location was also good to explore Marrakesh and felt really safe and looked after. Mourad stood out for us since we built a good rapport with him, and Muhammed and Malika are also really helpful attentive. The kindness and hospitality the best I have experienced and we have travelled many places. I have no hesitation to recommend this Riad to staff at. Loved it. I would highly recommend to all. Book fast since only 8 rooms. Only one slight comment, TV was intermittently working, but to be honest, we didn't need it since we walked so much we appreciated the quietness of the riad away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.

We loved our stay at this Riad, location and the employees where very very good! The bathroom has no door only a curtain. So if someone needs to go to the loo all your privacy is gone. I was with a friend.

The riad is lovely and a great place to stay as a welcome to Marrakech! The staff went above and beyond to make my stay perfect--Mohamed Amine, Malika and Murad were all amazingly helpful. The food was lovely and everything about the stay was great. Nothing.

Riad Houma is truly magnificent, and an excellent choice for travelers. The place itself is Beautiful, the suites on the first floor are very large, very affordable, and so, so lovely! More than anything, it's the graciousness and hospitality of the entire Staff that makes this place the "Go-To" place to stay in Marrakesh! We want to thank Malika, Mohamed Amin, and Mourad from the bottom of our hearts....you were all so kind and made us feel so special. Nothing could have been better....it was just wonderful!

The location is amazing. Close to many main attractions. The staff were extremely good and very friendly. Maurad . Malika Noor Aldine and Mohammed amin . The house keepers were very pleasant. Food home cooked and delicious tho over priced a bit . The breakfast was delicious but repetitive all thru the week and quantities were limited of you ask for more you may not get it !! The beds were extremely comfortable and very clean Towels charged daily The shampoos were excellent. Advice to shop around for excursions thoughtfully. It’s extremely overpriced for the value for money . The rooms were are noisy you can everything happing in other rooms and doors opening and closing at odd times . No doors to toilets and the toilet seat was loose and not secured to floor causing sewage smell sometimes coming from toilet. There is iron and no fridge ( iron supplied on request was dirty ). Tho mourad was extremely helpful in sorting out iron and wash . The internet was very poor . The sauna / jacuzzi needs 4 hour advance notice prior to use which made it pointless addition that’s included but very hard to plan to use it .

The woman manager of the hotel was quiet the opposite and wasn't helpful. She upsold us on tours compared to quotes we got from others and dismissed our concerns when we asked for the jacuzzi to be turned on so that water wouldn't be cold for our toddler. If it wasn't for Mourad, we would have changed Riads based on our experience with her.
