This is very much like staying with your family. All in the hostel os very close together, which is not for everyone to enjoy, but I very much liked talking with the owners, playing with their cat (???), and made friends with another woman traveling there because we were so close in staying together.

the reception and the experience exceeded my expectation. I made some great friends there. The staff was always ready yo assist you with everything i needed.

Very authentic feeling of France. Lovely hosts and lovely locals in a beautiful area. Perfect for exploring the national park. Also feels very safe??

it was like staying in a home. Everyone spoke french which forced me, finally, to use my french and become more comfortable doing that. I could always find someone with english if I needed it. They had a great kitchen and nearby markets so I had fun cooking for myself. There was also a great walk going south right from the the hostel that I did one day too few toilets …especially with sink and shower (but that was very minor!)

Lovely hosts! I paid for a bed and got a room for my own, the property is 40 min away from the cener of the city and 20 min from some of the trails that lead to the Calanques.

Plenty of kitchen space. Clean and cozy place. The hosts were wonderful, friendly and helpful with great recommendations and even let me use a bike to explore the area. Very close to the bus to Les Calanques.

Exceptionally welcoming, warm and helpful hosts. Just like all the other reviewers say- like being in a family home. Location is perfect for local shops and a short bus ride to magnificent Les Calamques . Can’t wait to return. French hospitality and culture at its BEST ❤️

Definitely would recommend. Very welcoming and kind hosts. Easy access to the Calanques, nice neighbourhood with everything you need and not touristy - gives you a feel of local Marseille life. Even provided a backpack for me for a day trip :) Plenty of utensils etc for cooking, and comfy house overall. Only reason it's not a 10 is because a guest stole my food and pair of socks. Not the hostels fault though. Definitely recommend for a few nights. Awesome spot to visit the amazing Marseille.

The Houseownere were super nice and felt so comfortable. On other great thing was that it the Calanques were easily accessible with public transport

Comfy share house with the owners. Old couple are so kind and helpful. Like visiting your grandparents but they are French.

It is not a real hostel, you get the experience of living in the home of the two owners (nice and friendly) sharing spaces and moments with them. Overall is a good experience, the only flaw is that there is little privacy

It was great! Like staying with family! I really needed a ground floor bed and had to climb ladder into loft, but i survived it! Very nice hosts!

There is a lack of transparency in the about this property. The place is very cramped. Two rooms are shared by up to ten people for the kitchen, eating, places to put your luggage along the floor, and more. There was no guidance or warm welcome here; it was a fend for yourself and figure-it-out situation. Also, I had booked a double bed. I arrived, a small female, to be told I was assigned a spot on a thin mattress in the loft next to other thin mattresses. I was told that I would be sleeping in the same bed with a stranger. Then I was told I would be sleeping with a man--a stranger--on the same double/full mattress, i.e. in the same bed. These requirements were not communicated on the Booking.com website, nor in any message from the property.

The ambience is great especially if you speak french it feels like going to relatives and not going in a hostel There is no door to the dorm, but people are very respectful so it wasn't a real problem

The hosts really made the experience. Very personable and engaging but also still professional. I was not expecting such a gorgeous view and so much private space, so that was amazing! I also felt very welcome and comfortable in the public spaces, which is saying a lot because I really struggle with social anxiety. So that was extra appreciated, and that really comes down to the tone that the hosts set with their friendly and generous personalities. Everyone else really seemed to match their energy! Not much to say here! I think this place was top to bottom a full Marseillais experience, right down to quirks and oddities in the building itself, which is something I expect and enjoy in this city. This place actually felt more bnb-esque to me than like a hostel, so I’d say it was well worth the money.

The location was nice, the owners also were very nice and always someone new coming in and out with a nice sense of community. The bunk beds at the top might feel a little suffocating but the rest was good.

The owners provided snorkels and backpacks for going to see the Calanques along with instructions and advice on the best routes to take. The hostel was equipt with everything needed and good wifi. The location is best for going to see the national park of the Calanques, it's a calm area a bit outside of the city, it took me aout 25 minutes to cycle to the centre. I enjoyed my stay!
