Hôtel Maison Montgrand Marseille Vieux Port

Maison Montgrand is very well located, in close proximity to the vieux port. It offers a deal with one of the city’s garages, which is quite convenient if you’re planning to drive around. The property is not very well maintained, especially the appliances. The hairdryer kept overheating and stopped working after a few seconds. The shower head would not stay in place. The towels are very small and they only give you one per guest, who ça means there’s no other towels to dry your hair for example.

Staff were all very welcoming and helpful even before I got there. Location was great as well and the room was very clean. Breakfast was not good regrettably.

The location was great, central, but slightly out of the way of the hustle and bustle of Marseille. The room was clean and the furniture feels updated and good. The room is a bit too small, but that's expected in such a central location.

Location is great, room itself was nice and practical for a family with a sofa bed and mini kitchen. With a good deal on booking the price was right. Breakfast staff are unfriendly although the food itself was good. Bathroom floor was not clean so I had to request it come and be washed - which they did while we were out. Quick reaction to solve this issue was appreciated.

Hotel room not connected to main building.

The hotel is located just south of the Old Port and conveniently located to reach places on foot. It is on a busy one-way street (difficult to stop the car even to just run to the hotel lobby) so if you are planning to stay at the parking garage it's best to directly go park your car there (the entrance is straight ahead at the end of the street, below the Palais de Justice). We were offered an upgrade from a double room to a tastefully decorated apartment with high ceilings and a sliding door to separate the bedroom from the living room. This served our needs very well as it was nice to have two rooms and amenities such as a fridge. The windows were of high quality and blocked the street noise very well. I enclose a photo taken out of the window showing the street and the entrance to the parking garage.

The location was very good we could walk to the port and all the touristic neighborhoods , there were lots of bars and cafe and restaurants around , the room was clean , big enough and quiet . Staff were nice and friendly There was a bit smell of mold in the corridors or I might be a little too picky because my son has asthma so I am usually very sensitive about smell , the Staff were friendly and nice except the restaurant staff ( one of them ) was not helpful and friendly at all so we did not eat in the restaurant

The hotel was in a perfect location--a few blocks from the old port and easy to get to from the train station via the metro. The staff were very friendly. We had a delicious quiet dinner in the restaurant the first night. Hotel breakfasts were good also. Three nights gave us time to experience different parts of Marseille. Highly recommend this hotel!

Fantastic location with a beautiful garden setting for (optional) breakfast, and minimal but reasonably modern rooms. We would definitely stay here again on a return visit. The room would have benefited from an in-room safe and a small refrigerator.

Great stay in a wonderful location. Secure parking garage down the street. Just a few blocks from the port make walking to old town so easy. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Clean large room and bathroom. Shower was very modern but not having full glass sides got the floor very wet.
