BV QUARRY MATERA

Perfect location in Matera with a wonderful view of caves, canyon and church. Clean spacious room, friendly accommodating staff and a surprise rooftop restaurant with great food and a beautiful place to watch the sun set. Would like other visitors to know they MUST book a parking space ahead of time if you have a car. It's not a problem but you must do ahead of time.

Our first reaction was…WOW!!! The hotel is grand and the decor is top notch. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The location is conveniently close to Piazza Duomo. The view is spectacular from our room. The staff is professional and very pleasant and friendly. They were able to provide us with necessary information. The breakfast choices are endless and everything is so fresh. Highly recommend this place. Keep up the great work!!

This hotel is on another level. The service, the location, how modern it is, and the cleanliness are all outstanding. The view of Matera is exceptional! If you’re looking to stay in Matera, I don’t think there’s a better place than this hotel. Nothing

amazing sheets and bed, room is beautiful, loved the hot tub, breakfast and the overall ambiance! Shoutout to Aldo and Daniele for their kindness and service! The hot tub temperature is a little low for us, and our room didn’t have a window into the outside but this could be different for different rooms.

Location Difficult to find and they upgraded us to a weird room that had an indoor pool and was super hot and humid

The terrace had gorgeous views of the caves. Our room was so cool-our own cave. The food was delicious.

Everything in this hotell was very good and particularly the kitchen and this man that worked there as waiter and was from Matera ,very polite and helpful ,so good memories.

We loved our stay here, and we plan to come again!

Stairs are dangerous. Rubber runner to one side would be so helpful especially for elderly. My friend fell on stairs and broke her leg. Surgery was required.

Breakfast was extraordinary! Great variety with made to order eggs and coffee. Room was sizable and comfortable. Location can't be beat. Close to everything but also off the main path so very quiet. Hotel helped us arrange parking outside of the sassi and a shuttle to and from the hotel. The only thing was the air conditioning wouldn't get below 27C. Since my husband and I are both hot sleepers, it got a tiny bit uncomfortable at night. But wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The Quarry is built inside of caves. Beautiful scenery from our room and terraces and the bar. The way the rooms and facilities are made from the cave rooms is architecturally amazing. Has to park outside of the town and be shuttled in to the hotel. We felt bad for the porter carrying our bags. It was a seamless process.

Our suite was very comfortable and spacious with a great bed. The staff were excellent and very helpful, and the view from the bar is lovely. No robes in the room!
