The bathroom could be renewed and lots of lamps not working. Some pieces of the ceiling falling on the bed.
-
The bathroom did not have a normal shower and the floor was very slippery as a result both myself and my husband fell to the floor
-
Great rooms Staff could do better dealing with the tourists. A small less than 1 inch paste which is not enough for one person costs additional 2 euros. One staff called a taxi company and charged 10 euros for just calling a taxi. One staff yelled at 8 year old girl for taking 2 candy.

The location and the place as well There were ants in the restaurant all over the table. The air conditioning in our room didn’t work
-
Excellent location, friendly and very helpful staff, so cool to stay in a cave.
-
Unuque and modern cave room right in the middle if Matera and close to the action, somewhat easy to walk to without steps, it is Matera so there are hills. The location meant we could zip back to our own bathroom throughout the day. Roller suitcases. Leave them at home.

Beautiful! Super friendly staff that made us feel like family! Wonderful service and they had many suggestions on fun and interesting things to do in Matera. Perfect location. Such a nice vibe to step out your door and be right in the middle of the historic Sassi district! Wonderful breakfast and service. Nothing! Loved it all!

The included breakfast was a great touch. Multiple options and served wherever you prefer on the grounds. Pillows were good but Beds felt a little too firm for my liking.

The air conditioning did not work in room. It was soooooo hot in room

The breakfast was ok, not great because we like eggs in the morning. It was a more than adequate continental breakfast that you order the day before. Older male staff person does not belong in the hospitality business. He did not smile, initiate eye contact , conversation, or a simple hello.

Pretty much everything. Location. Its unique beauty and character. The breakfast. Most of the staff. The man who served us breakfast seemed constantly annoyed at us and never smiled. We were quiet, considerate guests. His demeanor kind of ruined the mood each morning. All the other staff were wonderful!

Very cool room - in a cave! Was too dark and bathroom was very slippery- dangerous

Excellent location, good breakfast, very nice welcome

Unique cave-style room – different experience, but for maximum 1–2 nights * girl at Reception was friendly and polite Location & access: Far from main center, shops and parking * Many stairs, difficult with luggage * We arrived in the rain and had to carry luggage for about 15 minutes. It was hard to find the hotel Comfort: Beds and pillows very hard * Extra bed very uncomfortable and squeaky * Only one pillow per person Room & atmosphere: Very dark room with very little natural light * Not enough lighting in the room * Can feel depressing for longer stays * No proper closet, only 3 hangers and a rod. Had to keep out clothes in the suitcases. Bathroom: Very poor water pressure in the sink * Toiletries were not replaced (soap, shower cap…) Temperature: Heating in the room and bathroom turned off at night * Room gets very cold Amenities: TV only in Italian (all synchronized), nothing for non-Italian speakers. No YouTube or Netflix. But we did have a free wifi Breakfast: Very limited selection * Few slices of ham and cheese and croissants * breakfast must be ordered one day in advance by writing how many slices of ham or bread you want. No salad, no eggs….. very limited selection Check-in: Arrived at 11 AM soaking wet from the rain * Not allowed early check-in at all * Had to wait until 2 PM exactly Overall: The cave concept is interesting, but due to comfort and lighting issues, it is suitable only for a short stay (1–2 nights).

It was a wonderful location, very clean, and breakfast was good. Our room was beautiful but we were expecting more of a cave experience.
-
The room was beautiful and so comfortable! There was so much room! The location was great and the breakfast with option to have it in your room was wonderful!
-
The room was just beautiful with the stone walls and ceiling plus the staff are super helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in the heart old part of the city with amazing streets and walkways to explore almost right out your door. Lots of restaurants to choose from as you explore the old city. The breakfast service at the hotel is a real bonus to get your morning of exploring started as once you start to roam the streets your camera is going to get a workout.

We loved our cave room. It was spectacular. It was large, we had access too smart TV, the location was awesome

Dust / Dirt dripping off from the ceiling (right on top of the bed). We stayed during hot Summer but one of the air conditioners was not working well (but they provided an electric fan). Well, the costs of one or two nights should be able to get a decent brand new air conditioner.
