Spacious, design with taste, modern and clean

Located just a few minutes from the old town, our room was on the first floor, with a balcony overlooking a beautiful gorge. There is no on-site staff; everything is handled by phone. Comfortable bed and good coffee. The room rate included breakfast—though I wouldn't call it that. Cookies, jam, and criossant with an expiration date of several months. The juices in the fridge were delicious, though. (At a similar property in a different part of Italy, we received a basket delivered to our door every morning with fresh bread, cheese, cold cuts, and juices) If there was something like that here, it would be perfect—especially since there's a great balcony where you could enjoy breakfast.

The room and bathroom are newly updated and well appointed. There is plenty of hot water. There is a good pod type coffee maker. You must buy your own pods, though, as only 2 were left for our two day stay. It would have been good to know ahead of time that it would take a miracle to find parking on the narrow streets around this apartment. If, instead, the host, who did not meet us in person, had provided the address of the nearest parking facility and ideas on how we might best coordinate dropping our luggage, it could have saved us time and considerable trouble. Also, it was cold the first night we were there, and the heat didn't work. Perhaps they hadn't yet turned it on for the season.

The place was in the perfect location, especially if you are driving. There was free parking on the street and just a short walk into town. I definitely reccomend this stay!

Excellent location. In street parking (low season), balcony overlooking the ravine. Extremely comfortable bed, excellent bathroom hair dryer, coffee machine. Felt safe, cosy and very chic. Would defintiely use again. All Maria’s recommendations for food were outstanding. That I couldn’t stay longer!

Very modern holiday room. Great decor, very functional, minimalist in style. Loved it. Superb bathroom and amazing private outdoor courtyard with views of the awesome valley below. A cool and upmarket place to stay. Highly recommended.

Better seating at the terrace

And thank you for the complimentary goodies (croissants, milk and cereals, juices, etc ) in the room ? This hotel works out perfect as a base to explore Matera since 10-15 minute walk and you are in the heart of the city. The hosts were very helpful and prompt in answering all the questions we had. Highly recommend !!

We travelled to Matera by car and found parking along a road adjacent to the property as parking on the road in front of the hotel was full. This was no problem for us as it was free parking and only a couple of minutes walk. There is a small food shop about a 3 minute walk from the property which can be used to buy water etc. The property is easy to find and to access (with clear instructions from the host). Inside - clean, comfy, cosy room. Gorgeous view from the balcony of the mountain side, so peaceful. The bed was large and comfortable, the shower was perfect. All modern decor. Some nice packaged snacks for breakfast. Walking to Matera old centre was quick and easy, we did not need to use our car while there. Overall really nice stay, could have stayed an extra night! Stunning decor in the room. Very well designed. And the view was...unreal! Our host left some delicious snacks and treats in the room to welcome us. Highly appreciated. The bed was not as comfortable as it could have been. Parking was very difficult but not impossible. The coffee machine leaked when I used it. No biggie, just didn't have coffee.

Nice facilities, amazing terrace Nothing

The room was spacious and very comfortable, the air con kept us nice and cool and the bathroom was very clean, I was greatful for the hair dryer! The building was nice and quiet, we had a great night's sleep. Location was great, less than 10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants in the sassi but also 5 minutes from supermarkets and pharmacies. The host was excellent at communicating, spoke fluent English and we chatted through WhatsApp. We arrived late but they were able to get us checked in very smoothly and were quick to respond to all our questions parking was really straightforward, the road outside was all free parking and we managed to get the last space nothing!

Great location, great size, close to the busy centre but with a relaxing direct view of the huge valley behind from the terrace. Well renovated apartment with all facilities, clean and tidy. Car parking (free) on street was easy to find. Nothing
