Hospitality was an A+! Mimmo was incredibly welcoming and warm, taking care of our needs immediately. He was very accommodating and the accommodations were pristine. Such detailed attention to his property and the comfort of his guests. Amazing location as well! We loved the view from the top, and enjoyed hearing all the beautiful sounds of the conservatory next door. N/A

Matera was breathtaking and we will return. The host was amazing. He spoke very little English and we communicated via WhatsApp even when we were with him. He arranged for a taxi to collect us from the bus station and again for a taxi to collect us to take us to the bus station on check out. He met us at the property at a pre-arranged time and was able to show us into our room and we had the use of a shared kitchen with coffee making facilities and a shared fridge. Very good location and we would definitely stay here again in the future. All good !

Mimmo was wonderful. Very informative and helpful. Great location- close to restaurants, shopping and most important- the views! Highly recommend. Everything was great- no complaints!

Heartful thanks to our great host Mimmo thanks to whom we were able to get bus tickets from Bari to Matera! It was impossible for us to buy tickets because the apps didn't work...We were greeted with refreshments and shown the most stunning view of this ancient town from our balcony where Mimmo took pictures of us. As a final warm gesture, we were allowed to store our luggage at the property long after check out!

I will start with the communication with the host, Mimmo—it was excellent. He met all our requirements and provided us with the best room. We arrived much earlier than the check-in time, but as our room was ready, we were able to check in early. He was very kind and made some gestures towards us that are rarely seen these days. Thank you for that, Mimmo, we really appreciate it. We were amazed by the cleanliness of the whole property. The room and the bathroom were super clean. The bed was really comfy, and the property has a wonderful terrace (as seen in the attached picture) where you can peacefully enjoy the beauty of Matera. The location is simply unbeatable—right in the middle of the Old Town and close to everything. I will always recommend Residenza dei Suoni to everyone! Nothing to complain. Everything was perfect.

Amazing location and view! The staff are wonderful - very helpful and quick to respond. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again! Water pressure in the shower was abysmal (and hair dryer doesn’t actually have hot air), but despite this I would still stay here again because of the outstanding location, view and staff!

Very friendly, helpful hosts although some problems in communicating, hosts speaking only Italian and French (which helped in our case but only found out later) and not English. Beautiful location with a view on the Piazza del Sedile in hte historic center of Matera. The add about the property should be clearer regarding accessing it by car and parking. The property is located in a Restricted Traffic Zone and cannot be accessed by car and offers no parking possibility in the near vicinity. Parking is possible on the streets bordering the Restricted Traffic Zone about 300 meters from the property and in a Paid Secured Parking about 500 meters from the property. At our request the hosts made reservation in that Parking.

The host was fantastic and went out of his way to help us and communicate as we were making our way to Matera. Room is nice and efficient but the real prize is the balcony you get to look over Matera. Excellent location and fantastic host & wife. Both wonderful The location, location, location & balcony

Great view, super clean, very responsive owner (Mimmo is great!) Be careful with the doors, including the deck. If you close the door, there is no handle on the outside (we were briefly locked out in the deck but luckily Mimmo was super responsive and sent someone to unlock it quickly!)

We stayed one night in Matera in early May, 2025. Parking in Matera is outside of the historic area. Our host, Mimmo arranged a spot in a very nice parking garage about 10 minutes away from the apartment for 20 euros per night. It worked very well and made our stay simple and convenient. The room was perfect and inside of a home with several other rental spaces. Pina was there to greet us and between her Italian and our english, we were given a great tour of the city from the amazing balcony overlooking this ancient city. The room was accessed by a few short flights of stairs. The excellent communication with our host via Whats App was key to a very efficient and pleasant experience in such a location as Matera.

Location was perfect overlooking the Sassi and in the heart of Matera. The bed was very comfortable and amenities provided were nice. Mimmo was very helpful in offering info about sites to see, answering our questions and even called a restaurant to make a reservation for us! The room and terrace were smaller than anticipated- barely enough room for 2, especially to sit and enjoy the view. The water pressure in the shower was low.

Excellent stay. Very friendly owners. Perfect location and super clean property. We really enjoyed our time & stay. Only love for the owners and their lovely dog. We will definitely recommend. 10/10!
