Angela was amazing—super helpful and kind. The unit has one of the best views in the city.

Clean and good location Disappointed with the view.

The apartment is clean and comfortable. Booked the apartment because of the view but frankly speaking the view from the terrace is not as good as expected. In fact a short walk outside will get you a much better view. The apartment has two rooms, so if you only booked one room, you may have to share the common areas with someone else. We booked both rooms to have the privacy but I think it is not worth it on hindsight. In fact a BnB without a view in Matera will do just fine as the view outside is better.

This property has 2 suites over 2 levels with a communal living area, kitchen & terrace area overlooking the Sassi. It is a great location for breakfast & a late afternoon drink & an easy walk to all the tourist attractions. The host ,Angela,is an artist & her wonderful artworks are displayed on the walls. The bedroom is a good size . Nothing

It's conveniently in the old city and close to the street parking, which is a big plus if you have a car and luggage. Clean and a very very beautiful view from the shade balcony. That appartment has 2 rooms with a shared kitchen. Everything was good, except the window is above a little street and some of the teenagers were making a lot of noise, but it's not something we can controll, teenagers have a lot of energy.

Good shower Perfect view from the balcony Super nice Hostess Comfortable bed Really nice room. You'll love it here, guaranteed.

We loved how she communicated with us quickly and was very warm and welcoming. The place had an outstanding view of the sassi in the balcony! We also loved how it was central to everything. We were able to find a parking spot just nearby (5mins walk away) on the streets. The bedroom was nearby the busy street but if you close the windows you'll hear less of the crowds. Other than that, everything was amazing!:)

Beautiful apartment, very comfortable and with a balcony overlooking the fabulous sassi. Really comfortable bed and a great bathroom. Excellent location, right in the heart of the town. Everything was perfect

Great location. Lovely property with fabulous views over the city. Spotlessly clean. Great outdoor terrace for early evening drinks. Good shared kitchen facilities. Everything was perfect.

The location was perfect … You can basically see the Sassi from the verandah ! So you have your own private view of the Sassi early in the morning or late at night or anytime ?. Close to everything …. bars , cafe , museum , Sassi lookout , the piazza etc . And the place is tastefully done ! So clean and modern inside . And last but not the least , Angela ( our host ) was so beautiful and accommodating ? Just a note : The Sassi is totally walkable regardless of where you are staying in the Sassi area . The place is really nice … the only thing that my friend and I would like to recommend ( being both females) is to have a mirror in the bedroom area ( not just in the bathroom ) so it’s easier to get ready without waiting for the other person .

I fell in love with L'Affaccio. The location, the property (big bright room on the second floor), the cleanliness and of course one of the best views from the terrace towards the Sassy. All managed by lovely Angela and her team. Thank you for making my experience beyond my expectations.

The location is just 1 min away from the main streets. Angela, our host, was very kind and friendly and she helped us with the parking. In addition, this place is one of the cleanest places we've been - we had everything we need during our stay and even more! The apartment has a terrace with the best view ever and we had a compliment from Angela - a bottle of red wine, which we drank on the terrace, watching the gorgeous view. 10/10 recommend. Thank you Angela for offering your fantastic home!

I really cannot believe that we found such a wonderful place to stay in Matera. The location is absolutely perfect, the accommodation is extremely stylish and Angela is the most kind and lovely host. From the roof terrace you have a full view of the sassi...and what an amazing view; the bottle of wine to watch the sunset with was an added bonus. Everything was spotless. The moment you step out of the door you are in the historic centre and everywhere is walkable (you certainly get your steps in!) There's a good choice of bars and restaurants, and of course some wonderful artisan shops too. I would return here any time I come back to Matera. Leaving

The host met us in the street to show us to our room. There was a splint of red wine left for us and there was a shared kitchen where tea was available. The host spoke no English but used a voice translator to communicate. The apartment was at the edge of the Sassi and the town, so easy access to both. I thought the balcony was attached to the room but it was actually up a flight of stairs. There was no view window from the room. There was one ottoman in the room but two would have been nice for two people (we had twin beds room). The air conditioning was wonky and we had to call the owner to assist us, but it did work.

Lovely apartment on edge of the Sassi. Rooftop balcony provided extraordinary views, great for a quiet drink early evening as the sky darkens and the lights come on. Angelina was a wonderful host, very friendly and checked in to make sure everything was going well.
