OYO Hotel McAllen Airport South

This was the most horrible situation I have been while traveling with family and friends. I was traveling with my young kid 8 YO and his Godmother who is my friend and is not young. The front desk man was very unkind, he kept insisting he did not speak Spanish and he denied our reservation saying it were not received, even with the fact that was already paid. He said he had no reservation for us and asked to fix OUR problems out of the office since he had to attend other people, it was 9 PM and my companion both needed my assistance while I tried to find another place to book. I finally found another place just to realize they were still posting they have available rooms at their place, and were denying us to stay. It last 1 week to get my reimburse and I wish NONE of you have to pass this experience. Staff should be most empathetic to the customers, specially when we have kids and older people traveling. The Worst Experience EVER in Mc Allen. I did not enjoy the way we were treated by the front desk man, we were not attended, we were denied our already paid room and we were asked to be out of the office and solve "our problem" ourselves. Never again in Oyo Hotels.

Air conditioning only 1 speed long time to cool down. In the big light have cricket and small fry make noise all night stay for 3 nights fright with air conditioning

Great location, very affordable. WiFi was choppy and wasn’t working great, sometimes not at all.

The pool was clean and warm. My kid has so much fun The poor attention from the personnel. I had to go to the recepción multiple times to ask for basic inf that should be provided at front desk at the time of arrival

Not really sure about room as I never seen one. They charged my credit card on Thursday and I should up on Saturday as I reserved. Was told they over booked and they canceled my reservation. They didn’t even have the courtesy to contact me so I could make other arrangements

I liked the super comfy beds and the very clean rooms. the parking area was very well distributed and they have an ice machine that help a lot on these hot days. I did not liked that they close the pool really early at night and my kiddo was not allowed to enjoy it for this reason, he was dissapointed.

Broken latch to lock the door. Water pressure in shower was extremely light. Overall not horrible but wouldn't stay there again, sorry
