Place is located around the corner off a main street, so it's quiet. Felt like a safe neighborhood. There's a locked front gate so staff have to let you in, so good security. The facility meets all the basic needs -- decent room, kitchen, dining table, laundry on site (air dried) for 30,000 Colombian pesos ($8.40 USD), good wifi, rooftop, attentive on site staff, 5-10 minute walk from grocery store, gym, restaurants, and Suramericana metro station. Overall a solid value. Entrance is a little difficult to notice, place feels a little isolated if you arrive late like I did (midnight).

THE HOSTEL WAS IN A VERY GOOD AREA, WHICH HELPS, THE PLACE WAS ALSO VERY CLEAN INDEED. THE VOLUNTEER LADY WAS VERY WELCOMING. THE INTAKE LADY WAS VERY RUDE. AT THE TIME OF INTAKE, SHE TOLD ME THEY DIDNT LIKE COLOMBIAN NATIONALS AT THEIR HOSTEL,..,.... TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION I WAS EXHAUSTED, AND DIDNT WANT TO CHANCE ANOTHER ORDEAL..,.... VERY CONFRONTATIONAL PERSON.

The place is wonderful, good location and the people were warmful. I'd like to go there again when I come back to the city. Thanks a lot.

I liked the place very much. It felt relaxing being there surrounded by plants listening to the sounds of birds. It was calm and quiet. I liked the room with the fan and the lights around my bed. I like the host/hostess too. They were warm and welcoming. I liked the neighborhood as well. I liked everything.

Relaxed home-y feel

Very relaxed, inexpensive apartment. Hot water in the showers, great locations, very convenient kitchen. Beds are a bit short

(I stayed 3 weeks in single-bed Azulejo room) Great location, very close to massive supermarket, metro stations and 20 min walk to Volador hill for great views of city or nature walks. Safe area (with common sense). I could watch variety of colourful birds even from my bed all day - perfect (Azulejo, means blue bird). Peaceful. Excellent helpful cheerful staff. Kitchen works well. Terrace to relax. Not a party place but plenty of opportunities to socialise with likeminded guests too. Great sleep. This is the best place for your money. House is about 50-years old, so don't expect modernity - simple but absolutely fine. Colombian middle class loves dogs, so there is some occasional barking in neighbourhood. Construction pallets and oil barrels are bit overused as furniture.

all was great

Our second stay at this hostel. Very comfortable and clean with a great kitchen that has enough kitchenware to ensure you can cook easily and quickly. This hostel is super quite as well. Great location as it’s right in between two metro stations which are about 5-7 mins walk away. Wifi is great . If we return to Medellin, this is where we’re booking. Wall hooks in the rooms. We need somewhere to hand drying towels and/or rain jackets after a downpour. Instead we used the TV as the drying rack.

Very good

The main selling point for us before booking was how well located this hotel/hostel is to either metro station Suramericana or Estadio. It made arriving and getting about that much simpler. Supermarkets are close by as well, with everything you’d want to buy to cook in there kitchen. If you’re into eating out, then the tacky 70th avenue is close to Estadio with plenty of local options. The room we had (Perezoso) for the week was super comfortable and clean. Great value. Pillows were firm, bed was comfy and noise from other rooms was minimal. Bathrooms were cleaned daily, along with the kitchen. The kitchen had pretty much everything you’d need to cook your own meals. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Long story short we’d stay here again in a snap. Hooks - for drying towels after showering and any wet clothing (after a downpour) is a must. Pity there weren’t any in the rooms.

Shared kitchen with access to a fridge. Close to a metro station. The door to another room seemed not very well protected. Noise coming through that door from neighbours talking.

Very clean, safe and good location Nothing

The location is quite nice too, in a safe neighborhood full of shops and restaurants, just a couple blocks from the metro. The rooms are a bit bare, but for that kind of price, it's hard to complain.

Its good location. We were about to check in because we had an early pickup trip to the metro station nearby.. so for our safety we had to take a night near to the pickup station. However, it discriminated my compañero. It didn’t accecpt my company because he is colombian. They said they do not accept Colombians nearby in their property. So we had to find another hotel.

Check-in was smooth. Staff waited for me at the hostel at the time I'd said I would arrive. The walk-through of the facility at check-in was well done. Clean, convenient safe quiet location close to supermarket and metro. All good.

Stayed in the deluxe double room which is actually a self contained apartment separate from the main hostel. It has a kitchenette, lavaropa and clothes hanging area and a table to eat at but doesn't really have a balcony as its on the ground floor. We still got a key for access to the main hostel area, terrace etc. Everything felt really secure. The staff are super responsive and friendly. Perfect area in Estadio - really quiet residential area but close to metro stations, big supermarkets and walking distance from calle 70 which is pretty wild in the evening if you're into that. We stayed for 10 days!

Great location next to shops & some restaurants while being away from the tourist trap of El Poblado - near the Metro but also walkable to Central. Kitchen & bathrooms were very tidy. We ended up extending our stay 1 night but had to move rooms (& floors) - kitchen really well equipped on L2, bed VERY hard, saw almost no one. Roof access on L3, bed much better, kitchen not as well stocked, more hostel-y vibes. Not a social hostel! But enjoyed the stay. Wasn’t much of a vibe. It felt more like a hotel or long term accommodation. Just depends what you are looking for! Staff do not speak English so Google translate will be your friend if you do not have Spanish.

The owner is welcoming lady, location seems safe and there are supermarkets in the area. There is well equipped kitchen so you can cook. Room is just as described and spacious, huge wardrobe, bathroom is shared. I almost didn't see neighbours of the floor. Fast wifi. Location is good, few minutes away from Metro branch. There was HOT shower - apparently random thing in Columbia Kitchen and Bathrooms are kept clean all the time. Loud neighbour (of the building nearby) and since windows are always open you will hear everything (not loud in general but noise happens occasionally). Can't blame accommodation. A couple of hangers in the wardrobe would be great.
